Hi Rad,

I am very interested in anything you have to say about Darwin's chart/sexuality etc. Thank you.

Hi Ari, Kristin, Mirta, Gonzalo, Gray, and Upasika

Ok, so I will go ahead and discuss the core inner orientation of the Soul of Darwin to his sexuality. One of the core issues that needs to be understood involves the fact of his nervous system is supercharged because of the nature his philosophical mind as all of you have so incredibly demonstrated in your EA analysis's of Darwin to date.

Because of this this then creates highly excitable and highly sensitive sexual nerves due to deep inner emotional compression that when stimulated can cause quick ejaculation and/ or it can also lead to impotence because of detaching from this emotional inner compression: Uranus in Scorpio conjunct his N.Node in the 11th which then inconjuncts his Venus is Aries in the 3rd which of course is the ruler of his Mars in Libra in the 10th.

This is then restated with his S.Node of Mars conjunct his S.Node of Uranus in the 1st, a natural Aries house. These are ruled by his Jupiter in Pisces in the 3rd which of course square his Neptune/Saturn conjunction in the 12th. From a prior life point of view these symbols correlate with an adventurer who desired no sexual or emotional commitment to anyone, and who desires very quick and spontaneous sexual experiences with someone who in the immediacy of the moment. These 'someones' would individuals whom he did not previously know, typically women who from other cultures relative to the various traveling adventures that Darwin's Soul was defined by. And, because of this, certain sexual diseases would occur.

For him and his partner/wife this can of course lead to great emotional/psychological frustration and inner questioning within himself that essentially says "what is wrong with me": Mars in Libra in the 10th squaring his Capricorn Moon in the 2nd. This then leads to a deep sense of guilt within him  because of the very real feeling/ sense of not being able to fulfill the sexual/ emotional needs of his partner/ wife.

With that Mars in Libra in the 10th his partner/ wife would desire/ need long and sustained sexual intercourse, and Darwin would of course know that which only created more guilt within him, more of 'what is wrong with me' type questions: Venus in Aries in the 3rd inconjunting his Uranus in Scorpio in the 11th. With that Venus trining his Saturn/Neptune in Sagittarius in the 12th, the natural ruler of his Moon in Capricorn in the 2nd as well all those S.Nodes of the other planets there, his wife would be naturally forgiving even as she felt a great and personal sense of dissatisfaction sexually/ emotionally speaking.

This very same aspect pattern also then correlates to extremely unpredictable sexual cycles within him in which his sexual energy/ need is utterly absent. At other times is sexual desire/ need can be intensely immediate with all combinations of these extremes, Libra/Venus, that can cause to feel very confused, as well as his partner/ wife, about why this is.

As all of you have rightly pointed out the core of Darwin's inner orientation to his sexuality was on of essential masturbation as the primary form of sexual release. The Moon in the 2nd as well all those S.Nodes of all the planets in his 2nd, the Aquarius Sun trining his Mars in Libra in the 10th, the S.Node of the Moon itself being in Taurus in the 5th all correlate to this. With that S.Node in mind which is then ruled by his Venus in Aries in the 3rd, trining the Saturn/Neptune in the 12th, ruling the Mars in Libra in the 10th that then squares all those Capricorn planets, the trine to the Sun, these all correlate to a deep orientation to the symbol of the phallus as being all powerful to him, almost to the point of worshiping it. So of course, knowing this from an EA point of view, we can see just how deeply this orientation to masturbation was within the Soul of Darwin.

This orientation would also manifest within him as desiring/ needing his partner/ wife to ejaculate him with her hands: Venus in Aries in the 3rd linked with all the relevant aspects to other planets, the ruler of his Mars, or her mouth; Moon in Capricorn in his 2nd, Cancer on the 8th House cusp.

This orientation to oral forms of sexuality is further symbolized by his Venus being conjunct his Vesta in Aries in the 4th which is rooted in his emotional displacement involving his biological mother which then manifests as as strong attraction to a women's breasts as well: the displacement of nursing as an infant. Oral sex then becomes a vehicle of satisfying his partner/ wife due to being unable to gain an erection at times due to the dynamics that we are discussing: being unpredictably impotent, frigged, or ejaculating very quickly. This would lead to the sustained sex that his parnter/ wife would desire and need: Mars in Libra in the 10th, squaring his Moon, etc.

At the same time, however, the Soul of Darwin would have an aversion to kissing of any depth or duration, pecking the lips in the form of kissing being about as far as he could go. This dynamic is rooted in the inner dynamics of feeling violated because of the 'penetration' involved in deep kissing, the fear of loosing control, of not being in control, because of. It is also rooted in his fear of diseases that becomes displaced relative to having anthers tongue deep inside his mouth.

With his Mars in the 10th, Capricorn being the ruler of his 2nd House cusp, this would also manifest as his desire to be the dominant sexual partner, of being on 'top' during sexual intercourse. Yet, at the same time, deep within the Soul structure of Darwin stands his desire and need to 'loose control' because of his tightly woven psychology of need to be in control at all times in order to feel psychologically and emotionally safe. Thus, with Cancer on his 8th this need/ desire would translate into an unspoken desire for his parnter/ wife to be the one 'on top': thus to surrender. This need to surrender is also symbolized with Venus, the ruler of his S.Node, trining his Saturn/Neptune in the 12th as well as his Uranus in Scorpio conjunct his N.Node trining his very Soul structure: Pluto in Pisces in the 3rd. Yet it is also, again, inconjunct that same Venus which than restates the psychological/ emotional crisis of loosing control which is rooted in his fears of loss, abandonment, and violations of trust.

Thus, with that Uranus in Scorpio conjunct the N.Node in the 11th, trining the Pluto, we can see as a necessary evolutionary step to liberate from these fears, via sexuality, to allowing his partner/ wife to take control of their sexuality so she can then 'teach', Pluto conjunct his Jupiter, the ruler of his Saturn/Neptune in the 12th, with Juno in between this conjunction, deeper commitment, him in this way.

The liberation that his Soul desires also manifests as the need to understand the causes of his sexual guilt: Mars in the 10th. Beyond what we have already discussed this guilt would also manifest, by way of external conditioning, to the 'duty' of being sexual with his partner/wife. This sense of conditioned sex as a duty would manifest as sex being a 'perfunctory' act. When operating from this psychology this would then lead to anger, Mars in the 10th, which could then become displaced and thus manifesting at various targets, including his wife, that would then seem utterly irrational and bizarre: Uranus in the 11th in Scorpio, the S.Node of Mars conjunct the S.Node of Uranus in Sagittarius in the 1st House.

His sense of sexual guilt would also be rooted in the fact of his marrying someone of within his extended family: a cousin which is symbolized by his Venus in the 3rd inconjuncting his Uranus in Scorpio in the 11th, Venus being the ruler of his Mars in Libra in the 10th. Within this guilt is his inner judgement of  himself manifesting as creating immune system weaknesses within the resulting offspring of sexual intercourse with his cousin. In turn, this fear and inner judgement because a causative factor in his understanding as to why his daughter died so young.

His fear of sexual diseases, which is rooted in his Soul memories, S.Node of Mars conjunct the S.Node of Uranus in the 1st, ruled by his Jupiter in Pisces which then squares his Saturn/Neptune in the 12th, memories for other lifetimes, would then manifest via Mars in Libra in the 10th as a desire for not only personal cleanliness, but also for him and his partner/ wife to be sexually 'clean': thus the need for their bodies to be clean before any sexual event could take place between them.

And, lastly, sexual stimulation for him would also be linked with intellectual stimulation: Venus in the 3rd, ruler of his S.Node, which then is the ruler of his 10th House Mars, squaring his Moon in the 2nd. His partner/ wife was herself quite intellectual and philosophical which lead to great discussions between them. She was the first one that he entrusted to read his manuscript. In this types of discussions this would typically lead to sexual events between them.

If you have any questions about this please ask them of me. In a few days we will continue on in our next step in our planetary method: Jupiter.

Hi Rad,

It's wonderful that you've done this, thank you. For one, I wasn't sure how detailed to be with sexuality on the MB. And two, you also made some very interesting corelations which I'd like to ask you more about - will do that in the next day or so when I have some time.

Hi Rad,

Here are my queries...

1. Quick ejaculation/impotence

Is this due to a Mars/Uranus connection?
(I understand the wider context of his mentally stimulated nerves/emotional compression etc)

Uranus in Scorpio inconjuncting Venus … Uranus representing the highly charged (Scorpio/sexual) nerves. Does the inconjunct resemble a lack of control leading to an early (Mars) ejaculation  (via Venus ruling Mars)?

2. S.Node of Mars conjunct his S.Node of Uranus in the 1st, a natural Aries house (Mars/Uranus connection again)
… ruled by his Jupiter in the 3rd
… which squares his Neptune/Saturn in the 12th

Is it all of these elements that correlate with desiring no sexual or emotional commitment to anyone, or just some of them?

3. Is it the S.Node of Mars conjunct his S.Node of Uranus in the 1st that indicates the desiring very quick and spontaneous sexual experiences with someone in the immediacy of the moment?

4. Jupiter in Pisces in the 3rd squaring his Neptune in the 12th. Is it the "squaring his Neptune in the 12th" that would lead to sexual diseases?

5. Mars in Libra in the 10th reflection (10th) about his sex (Mars) and relating (Libra)
Squaring the Moon 2nd - would that be the difficulty pulling away from the tendency for (1st Qtr Sq) low self worth (square Moon in 2nd) resulting from that reflection?

6. Guilt then arising - would that be from the 10th house influence and Cap on the 2nd house cusp?

7. Venus in Aries in the 3rd inconjunting his Uranus in Scorpio in the 11th
The inconjnct giving rise to the self doubt? and the resulting crsis ...

8. Being masturbated by the partner’s mouth (oral sex in other words) …. wasn’t sure of the initial symbols for that...?
(although I did get this symbol for oral sex …. Venus being conjunct his Vesta in Aries in the 4th which is rooted in his emotional displacement involving his biological mother which then manifests as as strong attraction to a women's breasts as well: the displacement of nursing as an infant)

9. Uranus in Scorpio conjunct his N.Node trining his very Soul structure: Pluto in Pisces in the 3rd.
Is the reason this symbolizes his need to surrender due to the Scorpio/Pisces influence?

thanks Upasika

Hi Upasika,

***********

This is not a lack of control issue. It is simply based on over excitement built up BEFORE the actual sexual event that then lead to this quick ejaculation. This excitement is manifesting in his mind: Uranus in Scorpio in the 11th that inconjuncts his Venus in Aries in the natural Gemini house. When this excitement occurs simultaneously this causes his sexual nerves to become overly sensitized so that when touch, Venus, then occurs to his sexual organs this serves as the trigger for the quick ejaculation. These highly sensitized  sexual nerves are also symbolized by the ruler of his Capricorn Moon in the 2nd which is squaring his 10th House Mars: the Saturn/Neptune conjunction in his 12th which trines his Venus.

********

*********

In his recent prior lives this correlates to anyone.

************

3. Is it the S.Node of Mars conjunct his S.Node of Uranus in the 1st that indicates the desiring very quick and spontaneous sexual experiences with someone in the immediacy of the moment?

**********

Yes, especially when we consider that this these S.Nodes square all his Pisces planets in the 3rd, and when we consider Uranus itself in Scorpio IN THE 11TH HOUSE INCONJUCTING HIS VENUS IN THE 3RD. Remember with that Uranus on the N.Node this has been in operation before the current life so given this inconjunction to his Venus, the ruler of his S.Node in Taurus in the 5th trining his Saturn/Neptune in the 12th, the nature of the moment, these in combination correlate to his desire for spontaneous sexual experiences with someone in the immediacy of the moment.

**********

4. Jupiter in Pisces in the 3rd squaring his Neptune in the 12th. Is it the "squaring his Neptune in the 12th" that would lead to sexual diseases?

*********

Yes, but also his Chiron in Aquarius in his 2nd, squaring the Nodes, and his Uranus in Scorpio This Chiron is also conjunct his S.Node of Neptune which then also square his Nodes. These then correlate to sub-conscious memories of actually having contracted sexual diseases before the current life that lead to his physical death.  Beyond these fears being general, they are also specific to common sexual diseases such as syphilis and gonorrhea.

**************

********

Yes, and remember that such reflection leads to inner judgement of himself in that same pattern.

************

6. Guilt then arising - would that be from the 10th house influence and Cap on the 2nd house cusp?

***********

Yes, and also the natural ruler of his Capricorn Moon being Saturn in Sagittarius with his Neptune that then square all his Pisces planets. This internalized dynamic, once in place, can then only aggravate this dynamics within him.

**************

7. Venus in Aries in the 3rd inconjunting his Uranus in Scorpio in the 11th
The inconjnct giving rise to the self doubt? and the resulting crsis ...

*************

Yes remembering that his Venus is rules his Mars so that the self doubt equaling crisis starts with his own inner judgement upon himself.

**********

*********

Cancer on the 8th House cusp which is then ruled by his Moon in the 2nd

************

9. Uranus in Scorpio conjunct his N.Node trining his very Soul structure: Pluto in Pisces in the 3rd.
Is the reason this symbolizes his need to surrender due to the Scorpio/Pisces influence?

*********

Yes, but in combination with the ruler of his 2nd House Capricorn Moon being in the 12th house conjunct Neptune trining his Venus, ruler of the S.Node which inconjuncts that Uranus. Additionally, this is symbolized by Cancer on his 8th House cusp which then refers back to that Capricorn Moon.

That's excellent thankyou Rad ...

and I had completely missed (the obvious) Chiron conj SN Neptune in 2nd Aquarius square the lunar Nodes & Uranus in Scorpio ... showing death from past life sexual disease, and the memories (Uranus) of that in this lifetime - being especially prominent with the Uranus conjunct N.Node being his resolution node in this lifetime

Hi Upasika, Gray, Ari, and Gonzalo,

Ok, so we will now proceed in our next step in the planetary method which is Jupiter, Sagittarius, and the 9th House.

These archetypes all correlate with how any given Soul interprets the phenomenal nature of the Creation. These archetypes correlate to the consciousness of the Soul that makes it aware that it is related or connected to 'something' that is mush larger than itself. They generate the awareness that the very planet, called Earth by humans, is connected to the total Creation itself because of being able to see all the constellations around the earth: the stars in the sky. It is this awareness that then leads to the consciousness of the Soul to wonder, ponder, speculate as to what all this means, to what is the very nature of Creation itself. This natural wondering and pondering takes place within the right hemisphere of the brain that is naturally abstract and conceptual: non linear.

This natural process, archetype, within the consciousness of the Soul not only leads to knowledge, a natural knowledge of the nature of the Creation, but also to beliefs that are nothing but projections upon the Nature of the Creation that have no actual basis is the actual reality of the Creation. These beliefs result in the need from the consciousness of the Soul in human form to have a larger or higher meaning for life itself beyond the daily struggle to live and survive. This quest and need for a higher meaning is of course rooted in the fact that consciousness is aware of the perceived cosmos, the stars around our Earth, that creates the awareness of connectedness to something much larger that the planet upon which we all stand.

Beliefs are not the same as knowledge. When a Soul has actual knowledge of something, to know, there is no need to 'believe' in that something because it is in fact known. When something is not actually known yet that something is inherent to what is perceived by consciousness then the Soul will create or invent beliefs in order to feel that is knows that which it does not know: the underlying need in all Soul's to feel secure.

This is, sadly, why one of the greatest problems for humans, humanity, is the capacity to literally believe in anything in order to feel secure, to 'rationalize' their behavior because of the nature of the invented beliefs.

Historically speaking, humans for the majority of it's time on Earth, did not invent cosmological 'beliefs' until the time that they began to settle into farming communities that progressively left behind the nomadic way of living that defined it's long history before learning how to farm manifested. This happened around 7,000 B.C.E. From that time forwards humans progressively began to essentially invent cosmological, religious, beliefs that were then projected upon the very nature of the phenomenal Creation. All humans thus have their S.Node of Jupiter in Capricorn, along with Saturn and Pluto, that directly correlates to this time frame relative to the transition of the Ages: the Capricorn/ Cancer Age and sub-age.

All humans have their S.Node of Uranus in Sagittarius at the same time that reflects this transition from nomadic, natural, living to beginning to gather into farming communities: the N.Nodes of Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto all being in Cancer. With the N.Node of Uranus being in Gemini we can now see the symbolism wherein humans evolved into these agricultural communities that then lead to the whole speculation of ideas, Gemini, of a philosophical nature, Sagittarius. In combination these then led to projected religions with all the attending moralities, of rights an wrongs, that allowed humans to live together in increasingly organized wholes: agricultural communities that ultimately became nationalized, races, of people that, in the end, became the countries that we know today.

Beliefs can of course be used that actually leads to knowledge: the very case we are now studying, Darwin, is a testimony to that fact wherein he would inwardly conceive or postulate something within his consciousness and then set out to 'prove' it in the various scientific, various measurements of an empirical nature, way. Thus, this natural process can then lead to banishing or liberating from projected beliefs by way of the actual knowledge that these various systems of empirical measurement lead too: The Origin of the Species in Darwin's case.

On an inner basis within consciousness the Soul also has the capacity to know the very nature of the Creation, and thus the origins of itself, by way of certain empirical methods that allow it to do so: the secret of the breath for example. This then leads to actual knowledge versus any need to 'believe' anything relative to the nature of the manifested Creation at all.

All Souls coming through time have an evolutionary need, desire, to know the very nature of themselves, and the very nature of Creation itself. In each life the Soul thus orientates too specific types of cultures that have their own consensus beliefs to be born into for it's own evolutionary reasons and needs. Yet, at the same time, these consensus beliefs that the Soul in born into interfaces within the Soul the desire, need, to actually KNOW what is true, and that which is not true. Again, this knowing can be very different that what the nature of the consensus beliefs are. This can of course create a deep internal conflict within Soul's that have evolved beyond the consensus state of evolution.

For Soul's that have evolved beyond the consensus state of evolution this then leads to a progressive rebelling or rejections of consensus beliefs of any kind that is set in motion by the desire within the Soul to actually KNOW that which is true, and not true from the point of view of the Natural Laws that we set in motion by the Creation Of All Things itself.

We can now to apply these archetypes to Darwin's evolutionary journey. We know that his Soul is in the 3rd stage of the individuated state. We know the culture, and thus consensus beliefs, of his birth. We also have a slight glimmer of the Soul of Darwin in a prior life as William Dampier that lead to being Darwin so that we can see the evolutionary background, and thus progression, from life to life. For example, Dampier had his natal Jupiter in Sagittarius in his 12th, which, for Darwin correlated to his Sagittarius Saturn/Neptune conjunction in his 12th House.

So let us now examine exactly the very nature of the types of knowledge, to know, that the Soul of Darwin has desired, and the very nature of the beliefs that he had that would then lead to his need, desire, to know. We need to focus on the following symbols in order to know this:

His S.Node of Uranus in is Sagittarius conjunct his S.Node of Mars in his first house. These are then ruled by his Jupiter in Pisces in his 3rd which of course is conjunct the very nature of his evolving Soul structure: Pluto in Pisces. And these, of course, are taking place within the context of all his other 3rd house Pisces Planets, his Venus in Aries as well. His Jupiter is in a new phase relative to his Pluto, and his Pluto is squaring his natal Saturn/Neptune conjunction in his 12th, Neptune being the ruler of his Jupiter. These two planets are also inconjunct his S.Node of Taurus in his 5th that is ruled by his Venus in Aries in the 3rd, which is then trine those two planets. Sagittarius in on his Ascendant, and his has Leo on his 9th House cusp which is then ruled by his Aquarius Sun in his 2nd House which is ruled by his Uranus in Scorpio on his N.Node in his 11th.

If you have any questions please ask them of me know.

Analysis of Darwin’s Jupiter.
Jupiter in Pisces in the 3rd. New phase conjunction with Pluto. Balsamic phase with Mercury. Jupiter in mututal reception with Saturn and Neptune in Sag in the 12th conj the AC.
Jupiter gibbous phase sesquiquadrate to the north node. Sag ruler of 1st house.
Leo on the 9th ruled by the Sun in Aquarius in the 2nd which is ruled by Uranus on the nn in Scorpio in the 11th.

South node of Uranus in sag in the 1st, conjunct sn of Mars, both ruled by Jupiter in Pisces in the 3rd.
South node of Jupiter in Capricorn in the 1st house, ruled by Saturn in Sag in the 12th. SN of Jupiter conjunct Moon and square Mars in Libra in the 10th as well as IC/MC axis and Venus in Aries in the 3rd on the IC.

North node of Jupiter in Gemini in the 7th squares MC/IC axis and Venus in Aries in the 3rd on the IC as well as natal Jupiter itself.

This soul has first intuitively sensed that there are inherent principals (Jupiter) that can explain the seeming chaos of the environment (Pisces 3rd). This intuition was a simple matter of knowing from within, that there exists an underlying and universal truth that can empirically explain how and why phenomenal reality is the way it is. Given the placement of Jupiter in Pisces in the 3rd, the soul was naturally aware of the prevailing social opinions and beliefs – and relative to the new phase conjunction with Pluto this soul would not have been satisfied, or capable, with merely accepting any of that at face value. The intention for this soul has been to see the bottom line and the weak point in the cosmological constructs that define most people’s outlook on reality. He would have been emotionally tuned into to, and quite sensitive to where empirical logical thinking was used to justify pre-established beliefs. As has been discussed previously, in prior lives and in the early life of Darwin, this soul has truly sought out to conclude for himself the beliefs of the religious outlook at the time. He has attempted to prove these beliefs to himself so as to create some sense of security and meaning in his life. This of course only lead to disillusionment and disappointment as more data, more facts about reality seemed to become more of an elephant in the room (Jupiter) that were in contradiction to the religious conclusions.

The evolutionary intention within the life of Darwin was to refine the observations that had been made, many of which in prior life times, and to make the necessary inner adjustments that would allow this soul to establish the conclusions that are logically and scientifically sound and fit. Jupiter gibbous sesquiquad to the nn in Scorpio in the 11th. With the ruler of the nn conj Uranus and ruled by Pluto which is with Jupiter it implies the immensity of focus within this soul to observe and correlate.

The implications of the gibbous phase sesquisquare here is that this was a transitional life – one where the Jupiter function of interpretation and understanding needed to become clarified and developed through inner focus and analysis. This implies that prior to the life of Darwin there have been lots of data collection and scientific observations as to the nature of reality, and that the life of Darwin itself was about developing greater humility and awareness of personal limitation, as the gibbous sesquiquadrate produces a strong “take care of the details” kind of energy – which for this soul would imply a narrowing, slowing down of his seeking and traveling and a focusing inward to synthesize/develop of all that he had found. He would have naturally gone through periods of great self doubt, feeling overloaded with information and a frequent reaction to go out and gather even more data and to ask even more question. However for this soul the real growth was in working with what he had already found and checking to see if the tested data confirms his own intuitions. This is in fact what he had done. The fact that this gibbous phase is so new really implies that there had been a great amount of scientific explorations and charting of data in prior lives – as per the first quarter phase, it was about actualizing his creativity in the world. Now in the life of Darwin, the gibbous phase required a deep turning within and to finalize any intuitions he has had with concrete and tested scientific evidence, proof.

At his evolutionary stage the core intention has been to think for himself, and to venture out alone and figure it out by himself. The sn of Jupiter in Capricorn in the 1st, squaring Mars in Libra in the 10th as well as the MC IC axis and Venus has a number of implications. It describes the overarching past of this Jupiter function: how this soul has formulated his own understanding of reality and the kinds of beliefs/dogmas that have come through that. Also, since every culture/time has its own cosmology, it describes how this soul’s own understanding was shaped/affected by the current beliefs of the time. This soul has required a great amount of freedom and independence to establish and determine for himself what the truth is. He has navigated the terrains of unmapped, not-yet classified data (Jupiter sn in first relative to Pisces in the third) and has created definition (Capricorn, 10th house square, Saturn in Sag in the 12th with Neptune) for what was previously wild and unclassified. The ruler of the Jupiter sn is Saturn in a balsamic conjunction with Neptune and are both ruled by Jupiter. This soul has been dissolving all kinds of rigid, calcified thinking about reality that only served the purpose of creating security in the context of the unknown – and at the same time coming up with various conclusions that reflect the structural nature of reality as it is, not as others would believe it to be. For several lifetimes he has been en route to establishing his authority as a guide, traveler, charter of unknown places – and in so doing has provided an expanded context for the masses to understand the larger world in which they live.

Coming into the life of Darwin it’s clear that there were simply strong desires to continue in that direction towards an all encompassing understanding. The truth seeking in the life of Darwin took more the shape of understanding a grand thesis of creation that explains the actual nature of things. This is an evolution relative to the actual discovery and mapping of land. This Jupiter function was now setting forth to create actual conclusions about the bigger philosophical/cosmological picture - meaning less seeking and more finding. This has satisfied within the soul to some extent the timeless yearning within to reconcile with the seeming meaninglessness of reality and his own existence.

This soul naturally took it upon himself to become single focused and committed to the goal of finding what he was seeking – Jupiter sn in Cap in the 1st. Conjuct Cap Moon in the 2nd, brings in all the correlations already spoken to: hermiting, creating a safe home environment for deep internalization and emotional safety which is something the soul deeply needed during the life of Darwin after such a strong soul history of being emotionally unstable. The sn of Jupiter squares Mars and the MC implying the sensitivity within this soul to define his comsmology and navigate his own sense of direction and purpose in this life with respect to the social customs and norms of society; that he has felt pressured from within himself to have the answers and achieve the goal of his seeking. What’s implied in this are issues around his own authority and certainty of the truth. A few things I can see here:
One is where he was dogmatic and controlling of his own ideas; to the point of not being open to other points of views. He has defended those ideas in a very childish way to reflect his emotional identification with them: 1st house squaring IC in Aries, and has also amassed a following of other people who adopted this soul as their own authority: Jupiter in Pisces with its sn squaring the MC in Libra as well as the Saturn 12th correlations. The bottom line insecurity within this soul of not knowing and feeling lost because of that not knowing - Pluto Jupiter in Pisces - lead him to formulate strong conclusive ideas that he was certain of and to hold that very firmly - sn of Jupiter in Cap in the 1st.

His ideas about nature would also “validate and prove” the prevailing assumptions of the times regarding gender and sexuality. Meaning, his own relationship to his sexuality, his identity as a man and assumptions about gender and gender roles affected the kinds of conclusions he ended up with.

What I see from these square aspects is also that he has been learning how to apply his ideas in a way that is in cooperation with how society functions - so he has needed to repress his desire for absolute freedom and authority and also learn how to fit in, to socialize well, to know how to relate to all different kinds of people: all the Mars in Libra in the 10th dynamics that have been previously addressed here. Sexually, he has given himself the right to pursue the gratification that he wanted – possibly creating children in foreign land that he abandoned as a result of his sexual adventures. This is implied, in addition to the sn of Mars being in Sag in the 1st, with the sn of Jupiter in Cap in the 1st squaring natal Mars and Venus on the IC. Courting and being attractive to lots of women, having quick sexual encounters and then moving on. The issue around ethics, responsibility and family come up with the strong Capricorn emphasis. This has contributed to the guilt within this soul which has lead to an incredibly conservative sexual nature in the life of Darwin. Note in Dampier’s chart, the gibbous phase sesquiquadrate between Saturn in Cancer in the 8th and Jupiter in Sag in the 12.

The north node of Darwin’s Jupiter is in Gemini in the 7th, which is ruled by mercury in a balsamic conjuction with Pluto and also squares Jupiter in Pisces in the 3rd. This corresponds to the evolutionary development for this soul to ever question his assumptions/conclusions/certainty through the realization that there are always more points of views and data to take into account. This humbles the soul’s pattern of needing to find some sort of answer in order to feel emotionally secure. The evolutionary imperative within this is to ultimately realize that the mind itself will never reach a finitude state of certainty regarding what is true; all of his conclusions can be challenged with more information. Even what he has intuitied to be truth is only a part of the total truth, not the entirety of it. Thus, this soul will be exposed to other people that offer counter perspectives/cosmologies that contradict what Darwin has come to find as totally true. The attraction to such relationships and the curiosity of their foreign way of life/ way of thinking will ultimately lead Darwin to become directly exposed to an experience of reality that is beyond what he thought was true/ does not fit into to his organized idea of what is possible.
