Hi All,

Just wanting to look up planetary nodes and wondered if anyone could recommend a good site.  I didn't see much when I searched google.

Thanks,
Ellen

Ellen,
I'm not sure if this is what you want, but this site calculates planetary nodes for you.
I swore it was somewhere on here before, but had a hard time finding it last time I looked.
I needed a friend to help me get started, but it is fairly simple.

Hope this helps,

Hi Bradley,

Thank you.  I'll give it a try.

Hi Ellen,

The Planetary Nodes are also included in the Solar Fire software.

Instructions for displaying planetary nodes in Solar Fire are on the message board here

Thanks, Rad & Steve.  Getting software is on my list.  Steve - thanks for the instructions.  I'll look them  up when I get software.

Ellen, I have SolarFire and still use the following site for different things: http://www.true-node.com/eph1/

So, until you get software, you simply enter the name(s) of the asteroid(s) or planet(s) and be sure to "check" the boxes down the page titled "Show North Node" and "Show South Node" and the rest of the page is self-explanatory as far as date, time, etc. You want to leave everything else (like "Gregorian" - "Tropical" etc.) as is. You can also get the nodes for asteroids here, the same as with the planets.

Hope this helps, and if you have any problems or questions, just post them here. I think many of us have used this site over the years - even as it has changed and morphed into an increasingly detailed program.

Hi Ellen,

here are the instructions for the web page this is from a past post....

I too don't have solar fire but there in an on line ephermals at  http://www.megadelfi.com/~jonathan/

When you go to the site click on Ephermeris   (it opens and directs you to another page)

2. the top line fill in the planets that you want the nodes for
3. put in the birth day info
4. when it says "Number in line" change it to 1 or you will get 31 days of the nodal placement
5. click on show north node and show south node
6. then click on get ephemeris

it does not bring up a chart, but you can get the ephemeris and plot them in yourself"¦

hope this helps"¦

Hm, I have been trying to use the site mentioned, http://true-node.com/eph3/, but I'm not sure if i'm doing it correctly.  :-[ When I compare the birth charts of two people, for example, venus, the site shows the sn and nn of venus with a difference of just 2 degrees, even though one person was born seven years after the other. Is that correct?

Another doubt: we should put there the universal time, and not the birth time, right?

Once again I apologize for my beginner's doubts. I'm still at the beginning of my studies and much still confuses this creature.

Yes, this can be correct. Here are two links for you to check and read in order to understand Venus and it's N and S Nodes: https://forum.schoolofevolutionaryastrology.com/index.php/topic,342.0.html  and https://forum.schoolofevolutionaryastrology.com/index.php/topic,1527.0.html

Universal time will generate the positions of Venus and it's Nodal Axis. The placement in a birth chart is determined by the actual birth time of any given Soul. This link www.true-node.com/eph1/ is much easier to use than the other.

God Bless, Rad

Thanks for the links, Rad. Very helpful and interesting to perceive that the signs of the nodes of venus depend more on the month and the day the person was born than of the year per se. This realization made me understand the reason why the venus of the two people that I mentioned earlier was so close: they both have the sun in Leo and were born within a difference of just 2 days.
