Hi Helena and All,

I thought that what Helena's is asking about, bringing up, is really interesting and important archetypes that need to be understood by all of us: the archetypes. To that end I have asked the author of the book on Lilith that the SchoolOfEvolutionaryAstrology has published to help us understand those archetypes. Her name is Mary Blue. She said she would be happy to do this, and to do the best that she can. So she will be posting on these archetypes after this. If you have question please feel free to ask her.

She is also writing a book on Ceres which is in the final stages of being completed.

Hi,

I am Mary Blue and what follows are the archetypes of Ceres and its connection to Isis. If you have questions or comments please feel free to ask me.

Goddess Bless, Mary

**********************************

Both Ceres and Isis symbolize the Earth Mother and Her regenerative nurturing powers belonging to the sacred feminine principle in Nature. These powers include the regeneration of Life, such as in the physical processes of reproduction, growth, decay and rebirth unfurled through the cyclical seasons of Nature, and also of its lost dimension as the regeneration of Spirit, those things that regenerate the Soul and its consciousness of unity. Isis is the name given to the earlier Goddess in Africa, whereas Ceres is Her later derivative given to the Goddess honored by the Romans. In Greece She was called Demeter. The asteroids and nodes for both Ceres and Isis cycling together in the same signs reflects this venerable truth.

As most are familiar with the myth of Ceres, it deals with the loss and recovery of the Earth Goddess' regenerative nurturance that manifests through Her relationship to Her sacred daughter Kore/Persephone. This trinity reflects these same powers of the Earth Goddess' regenerative nurturance, both its physical and spiritual manifestations, that bless womankind as the Earth Goddess' sacred daughter symbolized by Kore/Persephone in the myth. The myth's narrative addresses the loss and recovery of these powers belonging to womankind, its physical manifestation as in the regeneration of life reflected by the seasonal cycles within Nature and that, somewhat encrypted in the myth, of its spiritual manifestation corelating to womankind's powers that resurrect or awaken humankind's Soul consciousness, as in a spiritual rebirth. These blessings of the Earth Mother's powers of regenerative nurturance upon womankind support her in the execution of her role and function as guardian of humankind's Way, protectress of its true nature and spiritual essence and root. This role, by the way, that blesses womankind with the Earth Mother's powers as guardians of humankind's Way is by Nature's design, unlike patriarchal governance and rule which is man-made.

With respect to the nodes themselves, each symbolizes the loss and recovery of memory and functionality for some aspect of womankind's natural role serving as guardian of humankind's Way. For instance, the South Node in Sagittarius correlates to the loss and recovery of the Earth Goddess' consciousness and powers that nurture the expansion of consciousness through knowledge as Natural Laws disseminated by Mother Earth's tutorial as Nature. Sagittarius correlates to their dispersal as the principle of knowledge or knowing through a right-brain or intuitive approach that guides the wisdom of womankind's heart. Her knowing includes the intuitive perception that all life is sacred, mineral, plant, animal, and atmospheric, and as such meant to be honored and protected as ancestral kin, and not exploited for profit and power over others.

The South Node in Capricorn symbolizes the loss and recovery of womankind's civic and spiritual authority and responsibility as guardians of humankind's Way. It correlates to the wise application of the knowledge reflected by Natural Laws to guide human decision-making that honors, promotes and preserves one of its core practical and spiritual tenets of right living, i.e. giving, sharing and including. This includes not only its application across the board for all of humankind regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, or religious affiliation, but for all beings in Nature sharing our world, with the understanding that humankind is just one part of its Totality to which its means of survival are wholly interconnected and interdependent. When violations to Natural Law occur at this level, all balance that sustains human survival is seriously compromised or lost outright.

The South Node in Scorpio symbolizes the loss and recovery of womankind's role overseeing humankind's need for ritualistic undertakings that regenerate the consciousness of its Soul and its re-centering thereof.  Through these ritualistic undertakings, the Soul's merging powers of osmotic fusion become enlivened, psychically regenerating and fortifying its bonds to one another and to its ancestral kin in the natural world at large. These rituals include various forms of meditation, such as JWG's One-Two meditation, SRF's Kriya yoga, and the like; gatherings to celebrate and honor humankind's relationship, bond and unity to Nature and its spiritual kin thereof such as through seasonal rituals at the equinoxes and solstices; to commemorate transitional gateways in the human life cycle such as childbirth, coming of age at puberty, menstruation, pregnancy, marriage, and death; to initiate journey or vision quests and/or the use of entheogenic substances (psychoactive substances used to induce a mystical or spiritual experience ie, cannabis, psilocybin mushrooms, or ayahuasca) as a means to find or return to one's center..

Lastly, there is the ritual of sexuality itself in its sacred, Soul-centered form. Sexuality is one of the Soul's most delicate expression of its powers in this regard. In ancestral times, womankind transmitted its sacred mysteries that kept humankind centered in its Soul. Regarded as sacred vessels of the Goddess, womankind were respected and honored accordingly, obviously unlike in today's world. Its greatest blessing was that by its practice humankind remained centered in its Soul and, as such, experienced the peace and joy of unity and oneness to the natural world.

Whereas the South Nodes for Ceres correlate to the loss and recovery of functionality and memory relative to womankind's role as guardians of humankind's Way, the North Nodes correlate to the mutation or regeneration of consciousness that will occur through its particular archetype reflecting the subjective integration of its Truth as Soul knowledge. For instance, the Ceres' North Node in Cancer correlates to consciousness' mutation generating the consolidation of a new self-image and base of security for womankind, one whose consciousness and power emerges from the resurrection and recovery of its lost subjective root as the Earth Goddess Herself. Ceres' North Node in Gemini correlates to consciousness' mutation generating a cohesive, unified, multi-dimensional perception of reality that invokes environmental inclusion and connection at all levels through the ideational resurrection and recovery of the Earth Goddess ubiquitous Presence permeating the phenomenal world.

Hi All,

Here is the chart for Rosa Louise McCauley Parks (February 4, 1913 - October 24, 2005) was an American activist in the civil rights movement best known for her pivotal role in the Montgomery bus boycott. The United States Congress has called her "the first lady of civil rights" and "the mother of the freedom movement".

On December 1, 1955, in Montgomery, Alabama, Parks rejected bus driver James F. Blake's order to relinquish her seat in the "colored section" to a white passenger, after the whites-only section was filled. Parks was not the first person to resist bus segregation, but the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) believed that she was the best candidate for seeing through a court challenge after her arrest for civil disobedience in violating Alabama segregation laws. Parks' prominence in the community and her willingness to become a controversial figure inspired the black community to boycott the Montgomery buses for over a year, the first major direct action campaign of the post-war civil rights movement. Her case became bogged down in the state courts, but the federal Montgomery bus lawsuit Browder v. Gayle succeeded in November 1956.

Parks' act of defiance and the Montgomery bus boycott became important symbols of the movement. She became an international icon of resistance to racial segregation. She organized and collaborated with civil rights leaders, including Edgar Nixon, president of the local chapter of the NAACP; and Martin Luther King Jr., a new minister in Montgomery who gained national prominence in the civil rights movement and went on to win a Nobel Peace Prize.

Though employed as a seamstress at a local department store at the time, Parks was also secretary of the Montgomery chapter of the NAACP. She had recently attended the Highlander Folk School, a Tennessee center for training activists for workers' rights and racial equality. She acted as a private citizen "tired of giving in". Although widely honored in later years, she also suffered for her act; she was fired from her job, and received death threats for years afterwards.

Shortly after the boycott, she moved to Detroit, where she briefly found similar work. From 1965 to 1988, she served as secretary and receptionist to John Conyers, an African-American US Representative. She was also active in the Black Power movement and the support of political prisoners in the US.

After retirement, Parks wrote her autobiography and continued to insist that the struggle for justice was not over and there was more work to be done. In her final years, she suffered from dementia. Parks received national recognition, including the NAACP's 1979 Spingarn Medal, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Congressional Gold Medal, and a posthumous statue in the United States Capitol's National Statuary Hall. Upon her death in 2005, she was the first woman to lie in honor in the Capitol Rotunda, becoming the thirty-first person to receive this honor. California and Missouri commemorate Rosa Parks Day on her birthday, February 4, while Ohio and Oregon commemorate the occasion on the anniversary of the day she was arrested, December 1.

Her natal Lilith is 29 Pisces, the N.Node is 2 Capricorn. Her natal Amazon is 7 Libra, the N.Node is 3 Taurus, and the S.Node is 7 Sagittarius.

Hi Rad,

Thank you for posting Rosa Parks chart, it's a good way we can remember her and honour her in some way. When we first started studying Lilith here, her name kept repeatedly coming to my consciousness and i believe it's because she truly embodied Lilith's spirit. Now i see her natal amazon is conjunct south node of the moon libra, natal lilith conjunct north node of the moon aries. Wow...

Great warrior for equality for sure.

Hi All,

Here is the chart of Kittur Chennamma (21 October 1778 - 21 February 1829) was a rani (queen) of the Nayakas of kingdom of Kittur ruled Mallarudra sarja, who were vassals of the Maharaja of Mysore. She is a famously remembered freedom fighter who led an armed force against the British East India Company in 1824 in defiance of the doctrine of lapse to retain control over her territory, but was defeated in the third war and died in a prison. She was one of the first female freedom fighters to resist British colonisation, she is a national heroine[disambiguation needed] well known in Karnataka and a symbol of the independence movement in India.

Early life

Kittur Rani Chennamma was born on 23 October 1778, in Kakati, a small village in the present Belagavi District of Karnataka, India. She belonged to the Lingayat community and received training in horse riding, sword fighting and archery from a young age.

She married Raja Mallasarja of the Desai family at the age of 14.

Fight to retrieve supremacy of Kittur from the British

Chennamma's husband died in 1824, leaving her with a son and a state full of volatility. This was followed by her son's death in 1824. Rani Chennamma was left with the state of Kittur and an uphill task to save it from the British. Following the death of her husband and son, Rani Chennamma adopted Shivalingappa in the year 1824 and made him the heir to the throne. This irked the East India Company, who ordered Shivalingappa's expulsion, on the pretext of the Doctrine of Lapse. This doctrine was based on the idea that in case the ruler of an independent state died childless, the right of ruling the State reverted or "˜lapsed' to the sovereign. The state of Kittur came under the administration of Dharwad collectorate in charge of St John Thackeray of which Mr. Chaplin was the commissioner, both of whom did not recognize the new ruler and regent and notified Kittur to accept the British regime.

Rani Chennamma sent a letter to Mountstuart Elphinstone, Lieutenant-Governor of the Bombay Presidency pleading her cause, but the request was turned down, and war broke out. The British tried to confiscate the treasure and jewels of Kittur, valued at around 1.5 million rupees. They attacked with a force of 20,797 men and 437 guns, mainly from the third troop of Madras Native Horse Artillery.

In the first round of war, during October 1824, British forces lost heavily and St John Thackeray, collector and political agent, was killed in the war. Amatur Balappa, a lieutenant of Chennamma, was mainly responsible for his killing and losses to British forces. Two British officers, Sir Walter Elliot and Mr. Stevenson were also taken as hostages. Rani Chennamma released them with an understanding with Chaplin that the war would be terminated but Chaplin continued the war with more forces. During the second assault, Subcollector of Solapur, Mr. Munro, nephew of Thomas Munro was killed. Rani Chennamma fought fiercely with the aid of her lieutenant, Sangolli Rayanna, but was ultimately captured and imprisoned at Bailhongal Fort, where she died on 21 February 1829. Chennamma was also helped by her lieutenant Gurusiddappa in the war against British.

Sangolli Rayanna, the army chief of Kittur Kingdom, continued the guerrilla war to 1829, in vain, until his capture. He wanted to install the adopted boy Shivalingappa as the ruler of Kittur, and Sangolli Rayanna gave a valiant fight using Guerrilla war fare for the first time. Britishers could not catch Rayanna in straight fights. Finally Rayanna's own uncle helped Britishers to capture him and he was caught and hanged. Shivalingappa was arrested by the British. Chennamma's legacy and first victory are still commemorated in Kittur, during the Kittur Utsava that is held between 22nd-24th of October every year. The three-day festivities include sports, cultural programs, and lectures by notable historians on the kingdom of Rani Channamma.

Her natal Lilith is 22 Cancer, the N.Node is 9 Sagittarius, and the S.Node is 18 Cancer. Her natal Amazon is 15 Leo, the N.Node is 4 Gemini, and the S.Node is 17 Scorpio.

All,

Here is the chart of Chief Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti, MON ( /ˌfʊnmiˈlaɪjoʊ ˈrænsəm ˈkuːti/; born Frances Abigail Olufunmilayo Thomas; 25 October 1900 - 13 April 1978), also known as Funmilayo Anikulapo-Kuti, was a Nigerian educator, political campaigner, suffragist, and women's rights activist.

Born in Abeokuta, Nigeria, Ransome-Kuti was the first female student to attend the Abeokuta Grammar School. As a young adult, she worked as a teacher, organizing some of the first preschool classes in the country and arranging literacy classes for lower-income women.

During the 1940s, Ransome-Kuti established the Abeokuta Women's Union and fought for women's rights, demanding better representation of women in local governing bodies and an end to unfair taxes on market women. Described by media as the "Lioness of Lisabi",:77 she led marches and protests of up to 10,000 women, forcing the ruling Alake to temporarily abdicate in 1949. As Ransome-Kuti's political influence grew, she took part in the Nigerian independence movement, attending conferences and joining overseas delegations to discuss proposed national constitutions. Spearheading the creation of the Nigerian Women's Union and the Federation of Nigerian Women's Societies, she advocated for Nigerian women's right to vote and became a noted member of international peace and women's rights movements.

Ransome-Kuti received the Lenin Peace Prize and was awarded membership in the Order of the Niger for her work. In her later years, she supported her sons' criticisms of Nigeria's military governments. She died aged 77 after receiving injuries from a military raid on family property. Hi all,

I have been doing some researches on the three Liliths, in order to understand myself, and some doubts popped out.

Is it possible to state (in a very general way, without considering the pluto and the nodes of the moon of the individual) that one of the ways to heal a 12th house Black Moon Lilith (H13) in Virgo could be through practices that focuses in healing both the physical and emotional body simultaneisly, like yoga, tai chi and similars? I have thought also about healthy diets, expecially those connected to vegan and vegetarian cuisine, but i'm not sure if this is not more Taurus, Cancer or even Sagittarius than Virgo.

And about the Dark Moon Lilith, the Waldemath (H58). Is it possible to the native to fully express, in a healthy way, the archetypes that the Waldemath is applying, once the Black Moon Lilith is fully integrated?

Directly opposing my BML I have the Waldemath in Pisces, together with the South Node of the Moon and RX Ceres. I interpret this as a over sacrificial, martyr tendency towards others, wanting to be the great savior of all, because those are tendencies I have always showed, especially in the first years of my life, wanting to obsessively protect mom and sister. But whenever I get aware of the shadows of this tendency that I carry till this day, and I try to change, what occur is that I tend to go to the expreme opposite. From the martyr that sacrifices everything to everyone while throwing herself to the trash, I become someone that feels absurdly needy and feels that can never get the enough value from others. It's really like a flip flop, as it occurs when someone have the skipped steps. From the needy, I go to the persona that do whatever it takes to get some applause. It's a conditional lover, never a unconditional one. After doing some work in developing self love, I am managing to stop with the control to get applauses but I am manifesting some blockages in externalize. There are the healthy feelings, I can at least feel inside, but can't seem to really express. Whenever I try to externalize, it goes in a more cold, aloof manner, much different from the way I feel. It is if there was a protective barrier that i put between me and others.

And what I have been realizing, now more recently, is that when I am in this emotional messy and I go do my practices of yoga, I can manage to find some relief.

Hi Julia,

In EA, we only work with the Asteroid Lilith, and this is why.

The Asteroid Lilith, The Dark Moon Lilith, and the Black Moon Lilith, has made working with this archetype confusing over time. However, a trinity of three different symbols to chart out the progression of the feminine journey throughout time is not necessary for The Trinity can be seen in any one signature - The Original, Distorted, as well as Resolution.

The Asteroid Lilith known as the Original Lilith, is an actual physical body orbiting in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, and whose transit is a 4-5 year cycle.

The other two points that have been studied and written about, most commonly the Black Moon Lilith and the less understood Dark Moon Lilith. The Dark Moon is said to be the Earth's second Moon by those who have claimed to see it over the last four centuries; and Black Moon Lilith, is an abstract, geometrical point in space, where by a true and mean Node exists. These points can vary to up to twenty degrees which can change one's Black Moon Lilith by house and sign.

After many years of research and working with all three of these symbols, I returned to the original teachings of JWG, looking solely at the Asteroid Lilith herself, as she is the only actual physical body. According to JWG, there is no basis in physical reality of the other two points, as they are mere projections in space, so to minimize confusion, the intent is to 'deal with what's real'.

It is also taught in EA that the trinity can be seen within any one symbol. In an attempt to simplify and offer clarity, I observe Original Lilith in her triple form. All three of these manifestations can be reflected in one signature, just as every archetype has a light and a shadow, your original and pure design is also subjected to a swing of extremity, with its purest vibration in place or its diluted distortion, as well as the way to resolution.

In addition, the Asteroid Lilith has Nodes, ie a South Node of Lilith and a North Node of Lilith, hence another trinity. The other two do not.

We started a thread back on page 8 if you want to read through some of the cases studies.

Also, in your question about healthy eating and yoga, this would be ideal for Lilith in any house or sign for any Soul.  :) Yoga is magic for balancing emotions because it allows the Soul to access the water trinity to get those currents moving more freely again, allowing the Soul to connect deeper, and thus higher.

Goddess Bless,
Kristin

Thank you for your answer, Kristin. Although I didn't realize that you were not discussing anymore about the Black Moon Lilith and Dark Moon Lilith in this thread, this is something I have been realizing in the new EA Zoom series on youtube, about Natural Astrology archetypes, and it was a detail that have been making me wonder. "Hm, why any of the speakers is mentioning about BML or DML, and just about the nodes of the asteroid Lilith itself?" Your clarification was very helpful to me! :)

All,

Here is the chart of Bonnie Parker of Bonnie and Clyde fame. Bonnie Elizabeth Parker (October 1, 1910 - May 23, 1934) and Clyde Chestnut Barrow (March 24, 1909 - May 23, 1934) were an American criminal couple who traveled the Central United States with their gang during the Great Depression, known for their bank robberies, although they preferred to rob small stores or rural gas stations. Their exploits captured the attention of the American press and its readership during what is occasionally referred to as the "public enemy era" between 1931 and 1934. They are believed to have murdered at least nine police officers and four civilians. They were killed in May 1934 during an ambush by police near Gibsland, Louisiana.

The press's portrayal of Bonnie and Clyde was sometimes at odds with the reality of their life on the road, especially for Parker. She was present at 100 or more felonies during the two years that she was Barrow's companion, although she was not the cigar-smoking, machine gun-wielding killer depicted in newspapers, newsreels, and pulp detective magazines of the day. Nonetheless, numerous police accounts detail her attempts to murder police officers (although gang member W.D. Jones contradicted them at trial). A photo of Parker posing with a cigar came from an undeveloped roll of negatives that police found at an abandoned hideout, and the snapshot was published nationwide. Parker did chain smoke Camel cigarettes, although she never smoked cigars. According to historian Jeff Guinn, the photos found at the hideout resulted in Parker's glamorization and the creation of myths about the gang.

The 1967 film Bonnie and Clyde, directed by Arthur Penn and starring Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway in the title roles, revived interest in the criminals and glamorized them with a romantic aura. The 2019 Netflix film The Highwaymen depicted the law's pursuit of Bonnie and Clyde.

Bonnie Elizabeth Parker was born in 1910 in Rowena, Texas, the second of three children. Her father Charles Robert Parker (1884-1914) was a bricklayer who died when Bonnie was four years old. Her widowed mother Emma (Krause) Parker (1885-1944) moved her family back to her parents' home in Cement City, an industrial suburb in West Dallas where she worked as a seamstress. As an adult, Bonnie wrote poems such as "The Story of Suicide Sal" and "The Trail's End", the latter more commonly known as "The Story of Bonnie and Clyde".

In her second year in high school, Parker met Roy Thornton (1908-1937). The couple dropped out of school and were married on September 25, 1926, six days before her 16th birthday. Their marriage was marred by his frequent absences and brushes with the law, and it proved to be short lived. They never divorced, but their paths never crossed again after January 1929. She was still wearing his wedding ring when she died. Thornton was in prison when he heard of her death. He commented, "I'm glad they went out like they did. It's much better than being caught." Sentenced to 5 years for robbery in 1933 and after attempting several prison breaks from other facilities, Thornton was killed while trying to escape from the Huntsville State Prison on October 3, 1937.

After the end of her marriage, Parker moved back in with her mother and worked as a waitress in Dallas. One of her regular customers was postal worker Ted Hinton. In 1932, he joined the Dallas Sheriff's Department and eventually served as a member of the posse that killed Bonnie and Clyde.[12] Parker briefly kept a diary early in 1929 when she was 18, in which she wrote of her loneliness, her impatience with life in Dallas, and her love of talking pictures.

Hi Júlia!

Just to add to Kristin's reply. From personal experience, we can all verify this for ourselves. It might be that for some people the three Lilith's would be a easier way to understand Lilith and we should discover personally what makes sense. In my case, the three lilith's have always put me away instinctively from the whole subject. When Kristin was kind enough to share her knowledge of the asteroid and nodes back then, it felt like someone opened the door of a house i knew really well. I just couldn't name it and that is an essential part of consciously remembering. I would say with NN now in gemini, being able to give issues or things their true name is an essential part of our future and also an essential part of remembering our true selves, the SN in Sagittarius.
With Lilith and when we find this sense of recognition it's an inner confirmation meeting what's being taught, and specially about Lilith, it's a recovery process with a distinct feeling vibration of having found an inner universal home where we're truly empowered as originally made by Source or God/dess. I honestly hope many women can resonate with the true Lilith teachings no matter how we get there. And i don't think it's a complex subject, but a simple one.
One important thing i would like to mention is that the three lilith's can (not always of course) contribute to the perpetuation of an inner sense of fragmentation making women believe they are either good or bad women, original or not original, guilty not guilty, etc. In essence that they are fragmented within themselves and not whole with their perfection and imperfections, a technique used exactly to keep women's doubting themselves and their own essence, desires and gut feelings, so a technique of disempowerment used for centuries and centuries.
If that is the case or feeling for anyone relative to Lilith i would suggest not going there that way, because Lilith IS inner empowerment. That fragmentation can also prevent the whole story of past, present and future as it is naturally told by the nodes to be cohesive and to explain HERSTORY and HER TRUTH, to allow integration of why things are the way they are and what we can do, and specially not keep doing, towards new steps and new futures.

Hope it helps :-)
Helena
