What a fantastic Planetary Nodes thread, thank you Rad..

I have been exploring the nodes of Chiron and as far as I have seen, the nodes straddle 2 sign polarities, do you know how long they have occupied these two sign polarities? They sometimes occupy South Node in Aries, north node in Libra, but more often they are in out of sign polarities: South node in Aries, North node in Scorpio, or South node in Taurus, North node in Libra. That the nodal positions are so frequently in the quincunx sign placements suggests to me that Chiron's shows up as a transitional accelerator (frictional momentum of the quincunx). These four possible sign positions emphasize the key evolutionary facilitators –the interplay of Pluto, Mars, and Venus, so your previous post on Mars nodes cycles is quite fascinating. Transiting Venus tends to retrograde in 5 signs for approximately 100 years (currently Aries, Gemini, Leo, Scorp & Cap), so there's another time cycle to ponder. I am wondering about the fact that Chiron is a temporary visitor to our solar system, so how far back can we go with it/how to view its influence?

many thanks...
Rose

Hi Rose,

Well using Solar Fire reveals that the calculations for Chiron starts is 650 A.D. At that time the Nodes of Chiron were in directo opposition to one another at 12 Libra for the North Node, 12 Aries for the S.Node. And the calculations then stop because of the limitation in Solar Fire to the year 4500 A.D.

And you pointed out Chiron is actually a comet, not an asteroid, which is why it is a temporary visiter to our Solar System. It will exit our Solar System at some point. I don't remember when that is supposed to be. But it does bring up the obvious question as to it's meaning in terms of being a temporary vistor.

The nodal axis of Chiron is often is that inconjuct relationship to another, it's norm actually, yet it does repeat the opposition pattern at times as well. The movement through the signs appears very, very slow of course. In the large time frame between 650 A.D. and 4500 A.D. the movement remains pretty slow. What are your thoughts on all this ?

Greetings Rad & all,

My thought on Chiron’s nodes occupying 3 different possible combinations (Aries/Scorpio, Aries/Libra, Taurus/Libra) is that they suggest 3 distinct collective memory pools or collective consciousness. Chiron itself I attribute to cellular memory imprints of an exceptional charge (energy momentum/field) – that is to say that the content is one of peak experiences.  For the individual, these peak experiences/memory imprints, are the ones that draw added attention, in terms of their unfinished work (the homeopathic healing journey). Re the collective, it is as you said in the planetary nodes thread, that the memory imprints of the collective experience is embedded regardless of an individual’s actual experience, that each individual will be attuned –that we all draw from the undifferentiated collective memories (non specific to the individual but at the root of the collective soul and therefore contained within the individual too.) This concept really affirms that there is no degree of separation between any component of the creation – that at the core, we all connected. It is no different that the collective attunement of other species, citing an ants you used sometime back. Considering this, it matters little when Chiron entered our solar system or when it may leave it. For now, Chiron is a tool that we are using to “drawing down” the psychic content of the collective, as well as our own individual healing journey (re what Chiron indicates through the natal chart.)

A few more brief thoughts...
Aries/Libra correspond to the era of ancient Greece &
Rome, (a time when the mythologies were re-fashioned) and Scorpio/Taurus
to Egyptian times, & Minoan times, what else would you add in terms of significant epochs?
My thoughts on Chiron’s Taurus/Libra nodes is that it describes the collective consciousness of signature times (intensified acceleration) when the goddess/feminine was progressively socialized. These nodes reference Venus cycles, as I suggested above the transit of Venus in relationship to the sun and earth (the consciousness of matter) repeats in approximately 100 year cycles of the five sign placements but I have not researched Venus nodes. Of course Venus cycles are the root of the Mayan Calendar, so perhaps this is how we can reference a larger cycle.
For both the collective and the individual, Aries/Scorpio nodal axis is suggestive the acceleration/experience of key new chapters/critical shaping of human evolution, perhaps a drastic "corner turn". Aries/Scorpio seems to infer violent times, war, human sacrifice, etc; accelerated genetic development too.  This planetary nodal combination will reference the Mars chapters you talked about. (The Egyptian reference)
The Aries/Libra combination references the Greece/Rome transition and extreme masculine/feminine polarization.

Blessings

Hi Rose,

Sure love everything you are sharing here about Chiron and it's Nodes. One of the places in her/history that the Nodes of Chiron when in Libra/Aries that I think needs to be included would correlate to the her/history of Crete. This is one of the last places the was able to live, relatively speaking, in accordance with Natural Laws including the Natural Laws of Masculinity and Femininity. For example, the men and women in that place treated themselves as equals to the point that even their physical appearances closely resembled one another in terms of dress and decorations on the body. If I remember right that was sustained until the 4th Century A.D. It was a place, like Minoa, where the Amazon type women was still prevalent.

ROSE,
MIGHT I BRING OVER A CHIRON TOPIC I JUST STARTED YESTERDAY TITLED
"CHIRON SQUARE THE NODES" --OR SHOULD I LEAVE IT WHERE IT IS BECAUSE THIS TOPIC HERE, IS ABOUT CHIRONS PLANETARY NODES, NOT ABOUT ASPECTS CHIRON MAKES TO THE MOONS NODES (WHICH I AM ASKING ABOUT)?
THANKS.

AND

MAYBE YOU MIGHT CHECK OUT THE TOPIC ? I WOULD SURELY APPRECIATE IF YOU MIGHT SHED YOUR WISDOM ON MY QUERY TOO Cheesy.

LOVE,

(duplicate from Asteroids (Chiron) square the nodes thread..)
Hello Dhyanna, Ari & all...

Ari has provided a wonderful explanation here. Any planet squaring the nodes indicates the necessity to continue specific resolving re that planet. Chiron’s influence refers to the exceptional experiences of a person’s life, all the key and critical ones – the most wounding and traumatizing, the most healing and gifted moments too. (birth and death passages too.)

Chiron in aspect corresponds to the animation of peak cellular memories. When Chiron is square to the nodes, what is revisited are the most dynamic, significant, traumatizing, defining, critical, turning point experiences. Cellular memory is particularly “juiced up and alive”, and so whatever the imprint, (and especially when found squaring the nodes), it is highly sensitized and primed for karmic recall/replay. There is a strong sense/feel of the fated-ness of the life’s key circumstances, experiences, and relationships.  When Chiron is animated, the experiences are always beyond the usual, ordinary, or average -  they are peak, special, exceptional, extraordinary, etc.

Chiron in Taurus in the 4th house speaks to the unlocking of the emotional body through the replay of peak/heightened experiences pertaining to 4th house issues. It speaks to each one of the keys that you have mentioned, Dhyanna- the imprints of the trauma of the sexual abuse by both parents (Taurus, 4th house), the sexual violation that result in the birth of her child, the destined affair with teacher/lover (note, not only square the nodes but also references 8/2 house cusps), even the physical conditions of the chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, and suicidal depression.  When Chiron is emphasized, the memory imprints are vivid within cellular memory - they remain present/prevalent – which typically translates into a chronic condition or theme.

That she is able to unlock and resource her profound emotions and channel it into some form of self expression – this is the Chiron gift. The poetry correlates to a healing anecdote - the intention is to feel that which is rooted, buried, preserved, suppressed–and to allow the emotions to come alive again. Shamanic healing (also a Chiron attribute) is a gateway that will help her to shift the energy, so that she can create a greater degree of separation from the consciousness of cellular memory and the consciousness of the self in this the present life (to create a more distinctive divide between self of the past from the self of the present.) Chiron square the nodes, (note south node in Aquarius in the 1) suggests she has already been working toward liberating her consciousness/her emotional body from these trauma experiences. Remember that Chiron correlates to homeopathic process, these experiences are informing to her soul and she will eventually find a way to extract what she needs in order to create the effective evolution for herself.

Noting the nodes travel backwards, their position in the 1/7 house is relatively new; there is newly forming instincts, consciousness, and creation occurring for her now. It is suggestive of breaking free of inertia (moving out of the fixed 2/8 houses). Chiron square the Aquarius/Leo nodes demonstrates the highlighted theme, and the on-going process of her personal liberation from these trauma experiences and the reawakening and self discovery/self recovery that is occurring for her. These relieve experiences (the wounds, the gifts, the traumas, the awakenings they stir) are the primary catalyst for her intended accelerated evolution.

Chiron did not originate from outside our Solar System.

Chiron is now thought to have originated from the Kuiper Belt.

Chiron is one of over 60 centaurs discovered in our solar system.

The Solar System goes way beyond Pluto's orbit.

Pluto's aphelion is 49 AU from the Sun.

The Solar System extends beyond 937 AU from the Sun which is the aphelion of Sedna which is theorized to be an Inner Oort Cloud Object.   It's classed as a detached object.  It's not considered part of the Kuiper Belt.   All Kuiper Belt Objects are Transneptunian Objects, but not all transneptunian objects are kuiper belt objects.

astronomers theorize that the Oort Cloud is the source of comets

Oort Cloud is supposed to be deep in our solar system.....
http://www.universetoday.com/32522/oort-cloud/

"Some believe that it begins at 2000 or 5000 astronomical units–an astronomical unit (AU) equals the distance between the Earth and the Sun–and ends at 50,000 AU, which is almost a light-year. Others think that it may extend to over 100,000 AU, which would mean its edge would extend to nearly the end of the Solar System."

considering that Pluto's aphelion is 49 AU, the Solar System extends thousands time Pluto's most distant point from the Sun

"Most short-period comets come from the Kuiper Belt, while long-period comets come from the Oort Cloud."

any ways....the existence of Oort Cloud is widely accepted by astronomers........the notion that Chiron originates outside our solar system and will leave the solar system some day is totally discounted by astronomers.......I don't see why some astrologers continue the myth of Chiron's origins
