Here I would like to add some more details to my analysis specifically regarding relationships.

The DC is square the sn which correlates to an impeding skipped step regarding relationships - of course given the chiron square, this is already in place and has the potential to intensify. My understanding of this square and the skipped step relates, in part, to where there is a deep pattern within this soul of relating to other people through the fitler of her own self image to be someone special - and given the Pluto septile to the sn, and Pluto ruling the 7th house, this implies a core conflict between her need to self actualize on her own - and clearly her special, destined purpose to do so - and the feeling of being impeded upon and blocked by other relationships. Since Pluto rules her DC this will also imply fated meetings with special others or perhaps another that will be pivotal in her own ea journey.

The challenge for her was the soul need to be in partnership and yet not believing she can integrate relationship into her own special destiny. IE that it is antithetical. However Chiron is in a gibbous phase quintile to Pluto it is clear that relationship is actually pivotal to the actualization of her special destiny. So this was the conflict - excuse making so as to avoid relationship (ie entrapment).

The answer for her is in understanding how relationship in fact SUPPORTS her special destiny. This is done by shifting her wounded pattern of thinking about relationships as unsupportive. In so doing, she then accesses great potential. And I feel she has done this to a strong degree by way of her relationship with Putnam. It seems clear that this relationship was in fact pivotal for her success.

There is also the core psychology that in the end she needs to be in control of all of her own resources - and in particular the way in which she thinks about reality and her own self. And so this implies the ultimate need for a relationship with someone else who will be on the same page with her. Scorpio ruling the 7th house with Pluto in second in Gemini. The second house itself ruled by Venus which is in Gemini new phase conjunction with Pluto and balsamic with Neptune - her relationship needs are intensely linked up with her own personal values and ways of looking at the world, herself, and own self and her purpose. It seems like a partner that wasn't totally on que with her purpose and didn't feel within himself that his own role was to support her own actualization, simply wouldn't work.

As I've said, it's been easy for this soul to experience simplicity and peace within her relationships - yet not actual intimacy and depth. So I think the personal work necessary is first to establish enough trust in the relationship to determine that her partner will not interfere with her purpose but rather will directly support it. To do that her lesson has been to demonstrate necessary discrimination before sharing herself with her partner - Scorpio, Venus Pluto. This will allow time to tell if that person can meet her in her purpose.

I believe George putnam was such a person. It was a step in resolving the skipped step with Chiron by getting married to him. Of course it took convincing on his part before she would agree. She probably had to logically come to understand, on her own, after enough rationalization from putnam why it would be a good idea to marry him, and under what specific conditions (Gemini orientation in second house impliyng the need to logically know "why the change" before the change - emphasized regarding marriage with the ruler of her 8th house in Gemni in the second).

I couldn't find his birth date, however in all cases Putnam had the sn in Libra with Neptune in Capricorn squaring that node. Venus, the ruler of the sn is in Virgo conj the Sun and in a disseminating square with Uranus. His life purpose was to form a relationship and align himself with a transcendent cause greater than himself and to provide structure, foundation for the dissemination of that cause (Neptune in cap relative to Libra sn). He was to do this by way of liberating from all kinds of social values and ideas regarding how he is meant to serve and to embrace a liberated form of relationships that are a reflection of non conditioned inner values (Venus square Uranus). That Uranus was in Sag = marrying a woman who will travel internationally. We know he published her writings and was pivitol, before their marriage, in her rising to fame and success. His Neptune falls in her 9th house of publishing and his sn in her 6th house - he helped put her to work.

Most importantly his Pluto is right on her Chiron DC and is also squaring her nodes - resolving a skipped step and activating her 7th house 2nd house connection by way of her 2nd house Pluto ruling the 7th. This is the special relationship I believe she was destined to come across that would also help her develop her purpose and take the necessary steps (sn squaring Chrion and the Scorpio dc. DC ruled by Pluto which is septile the sn. That Chiron bi quintiile with Pluto, ruler of 7th house). She has the choice to align and cooperate with her evolution via that relationship and her partner, or to resist it. I believe she chose to cooperate.

Hi Ari, Kristin, and Gonzalo,

First thanks to all of you for taking the time to do an EA analysis of Amelia Earhart. You have all done excellent EA work, and Gonzalo especially identified the INNER DYNAMICS from and EA point of view that directly correlate with her ongoing evolutionary lessons and intentions, and the reasons for them. Gonzalo followed the the natural EA sequence to arrive at his extremely correct analysis: the natal position of Pluto, the location of the S.Node and it's planetary ruler, the polarity point of Pluto, and the location of the N.Node and it's planetary ruler. In combination the analysis's that you have presented present and very detailed and correct understanding of the Soul of Amelia Earhart and her own going evolutionary journey.

A question from Kristin: "Rad, is there a way to see through these symbols to see what’s next??? Was this her final dangerous self directed limit pushing dance with death? This brutal emotional panic of lost signals and not being heard and in the end not seen or even found, South Node of Mars, ruler Venus, in Libra making a balsalmic conjunction to Neptune."

She has ongoing lessons relative to the nature of personal limitations linked with not thoroughly making the the plans necessary to actualize her Soul's desires to do that which is breaking ground, the revolutionary, the liberation of existing conditions, that will be linked with the survival of the species itself in future lives, and specifically in her next life. Her Pluto/Moon is conjunct the N.Node of Uranus, her Pluto polarity point the S.Node of Uranus, the S.Node of her Moon conjunct the N.Node of Neptune in Aquarius, her N.Node being the S.Node of Uranus. And, of course, her Chiron in Scorpio in the 7th, ruled by her Pluto, squaring the Lunar Nodes: the ongoing skipped steps relative to these ongoing lessons.

Her Soul had and has a deep ongoing desire to do something special and necessary for humankind in order for it to evolve, AND TO SURVIVE.

It is interesting to see the symbols in her chart for being lost at sea. These very simply  are her Chiron in Scorpio squaring her Lunar Axis which are conjunct the S and N Nodes of Neptune in Aquarius. She became lost through a lack of correct planning linked with navigation and direction that is symbolized by her N.Node in Aquarius in the 10th conjunct the S.Node of Neptune. This is then reinforced by the natal Uranus being in Scorpio conjunct Saturn, and these then inconjunct her natal Neptune/Venus conjunction in Gemini. As a result this created a crisis wherein the radio transmission, radio transmissions correlating with Gemini,  the 3rd House, Mercury, Aquarius and Uranus, from here were on the wrong frequency to be heard by the ships below. Within this is this fact: her natal Lucifer in conjunct her natal Mercury which are both conjunct her S.Node of Neptune, and these are the direct geodetic longtitude for HOWLAND ISLAND. Yikes. Additionally, the transiting S.Node of the Moon was exact to the minute of her natal Pluto, and the transiting Lucifer was conjuncting her S.Node of Mercury by two degrees.

Thank you also for answering my question surrounding next steps for Amelia, she is truly a courageous Soul and instrumental in moving this world forward.

The geodetic lines and lucifer's influence reflected in her being lost at sea is astounding..ea blows me away..! It is all there..it is always all there..so thank you Rad for looking into the location signatures...and adding all of those extra touches helping to complete the picture.

Is it accurate that she has been incarnating as a female in a number of lives before the life of Amelia as symbolized by the Saturn Moon full phase - also indicating that there have been many lives as a man in the past, prior to that phase?

And is is accurate to say that she will continue to incarnate as a female in the future?

Hi Ari,

What is accurate to say is that her Soul has been flip flopping back and forth between being male and female for quite some time in order to integrate her inner female/male into an androgynous whole. Within this her Soul does desire to do all that it can to demonstrate the inherent equality of males and females. Because of this, given the nature of patriarchal reality that has been in place for a long time now, her Soul has chosen key lives relative to being a female that then accomplishes a variety of things that were once considered the sacrosanct territory of males.

And this will continue into her next life. Her Soul has already been reborn into a female form. And this life will, again, have major consequences for our planet as a whole.

I love this response "her Soul has chosen key lives relative to being a female that then accomplishes a variety of things that were once considered the sacrosanct territory of males." so key in terms of helping to re-establish recognition, reputation, respect, fairness, balance etc for the female race..North Node in the 10th in Aquarius, ruler Uranus in the 7th..balsalmic to Saturn in Scorp, also Orig Lilith in Libra.

Thanks for these analyses of A.E.'s chart, I so appreciate the Soul empathy that three of you enter into with your work, I have really been enriched by them.  And Rad thanks for that stunning geodetics addition about Howland Island!  

Rad, I wanted to get your feedback on my understanding of the gender dynamic in this Soul and more specifically that dynamic relative to the Saturn/Moon full phase that Ari mentioned.  

As we know, the Saturn/Moon relationship is not, of itself, inherently an indicator of recent or imminent gender-switch in the way that the moon's nodes in Cancer/Capricorn or the moon's nodes or Pluto in the 4th/10th houses are.  However, the Saturn/Moon phases do correlate with where a given Soul is in terms of relating to gendered-ness, hence the observation made by JWG that in a huge percentage of the charts of transgender folks that he worked with, there was a balsamic or new phase Saturn/Moon, because such Souls were finishing an entire cycle of how they have related to gender (balsamic) and/or doing their relationship to gender in a whole new way, even if actual gender switches have not taken place in the immediate past or immediate future lifetimes.      

So looking at the Saturn/Moon phase as one's own relationship to genderedness, Amelia Earhart's full phase would suggest that this Soul was at a point of bringing its way of relating to gender into the world, where it could be differentiated and compared and contrasted with others. That she would also have been using the structure of unconventional intimate partner relationships (full phase, and Saturn in 7th/Scorpio conjunct Uranus) in order to clarify to herself and others her own needs for flexibility and bidirectionality (Moon in 2nd/Gemini) relative to gender.  And that she came into this lifetime having in the most recent prior lifetimes "thrown off" external conditioning or pressures to in some way "pass" (most recent Saturn/Moon aspect having been the opposition), such that in this lifetime this simply wasn't the kind of concern for her that it had probably been in further-back lifetimes where the Soul internalized more self-doubt about its androgyny and even attempted to skip this natural step in its development due to the wounding projections of others (Pallas, a symbol of androgyny, 12th house gibbous opposition to Chiron 7th house, both square the nodes).  And now in the future lifetime the Soul would really be able to reveal itself and share itself in the world this way still more (with energy of next phase being disseminating), this entire process being completely integral to the Soul's overall evolutionary journey (Pluto conjunct Moon).  

Seen in this way, the lifetime of Amelia would be a major shift lifetime in terms of the blossoming and sharing of a relationship to gender that this Soul had worked hard to achieve, very much in the way that the full phase is a moment where the Soul having made itself "ready" in the earlier phases then takes itself into the world.  And would now be much freer to continue to do in future lifetimes.  

Rad, is this understanding of these dynamics accurate?  Thanks for any confirmations or corrections.

What I don't quite understand is the appropraite way to read that signature. Since the sn in all cases symbolizes the past, thus something that is very familiar and relevant to the karmic history of the soul in all cases - when a planet is on the sn - I am having a hard time understanding the practical difference between a balsamic sn and a new phase sn.

My only comprehension at this point is just the literal undersatnding - which is that, relative to the nature of that particular function, this is a dynamic that has either recently been worked on in the past and is now being brought forth via the sn (as either relive fruitive or combination) or it is something that has been worked on for a long time and is being brought forth via the sn (as either relive fruitive or comnbination).

Would you be able to offer some more perspective for understanding the difference between these 2 kinds of conjunctions to the sn and specifically in the case of Earheart what is symbolized here from the point of view of her Sun being balsamic to the sn.

Hi Ari,

Very simply the balsamic conjunction of the Sun to the S.Node correlates with a Soul who is bringing to culmination an entire evolutionary history for itself wherein a core dynamic within the Soul is one of reflection upon the nature of it's entire life: the choices made and why relative to various dynamics that are the causative factors for the nature of the life itself. The new phase conjunction correlates with an EA dynamic wherein the past that has brought the Soul into the current life is relived, the various dynamics that have been the causative factors for the nature of that past, yet in so doing the evolutionary need is to make NEW CHOICES relative to repeating those dynamics. In so doing the evolution of the Soul can then proceed.

For Earhart this will mean that in her next life she will again become a transformative symbol by the very nature of the life she will live yet by making new choices relative to old dynamics, if she makes them, will negate the evolutionary and karmic need to have an early life ending.

Amelia Earhart research team says possible plane debris sighted

Researchers trying to unravel the mystery surrounding the 1937 disappearance of US aviator Amelia Earhart in the Pacific have said they spotted debris under water that may have come from her plane.

High-definition video taken by a Project Earhart team and analyzed in a laboratory show “man-made objects” scattered west of Kiribati’s Nikumaroro Island, said The International Group for Historic Aircraft Recovery (TIGHAR).

The expedition — the 10th in 23 years — in July filmed the seabed near the island, where they think Earhart may have made an emergency landing and lived for a short time during a bid to circumnavigate the globe along the equator.

“We see elements in the underwater photos that are consistent with pieces of landing gear,” TIGHAR director Richard Gillespie told AFP, noting his team spotted something that could have been a tire.

“This is a promising development,” Gillespie said.

“We need to do much more analysis… We haven’t claimed to solve the mystery with this. It’s the next step in the investigation.”

The location of the debris is promising, Gillespie said, as it is consistent with previous findings.

“It’s in the right place. Whether it’s the right stuff, the right material, we don’t yet know,” he said, adding: “If it’s airplane debris, it’s almost certainly related to Amelia. There is no other aircraft missing out there.”

On July 2, 1937, Earhart, 39, accompanied by navigator Fred Noonan, embarked on the final stretch of her world tour in a twin-engine Lockheed Electra, heading for California from Papua New Guinea.

Earhart planned to land on Howland Island to refuel, but a few hours after takeoff, she announced in a final radio message that she could not locate the island, and that her fuel was dwindling.

Despite numerous searches, no trace of her aircraft has been found to date.

A new Earhart expedition may take place in the next two years, if further analysis is promising, Gillespie said.
