Hi Rad, I want to ask a question regarding Lucifer and irreversible contracts with evil.

I deeply appreciate the work JWG has done with Lucifer, I use it in so many charts and it has become very often a great healing tool for myself and many other souls I have worked with. I'm truly astounded by that archetype.

I feel a strong inner guidance to look into this matter. I have found a quote from yogananda as quoted from this site:

Man stands in the middle, with God on one side and Satan on the other side, each ready to pull him in whichever direction he wishes to go. It is up to man to signal God or Satan as to which direction he wants to be pulled. Man is perfectly free to act without being influenced by God or Satan, but whenever he does act right, or has a pure, ennobling thought, that is the signal to God, and he is automatically pulled toward God, but as soon as man thinks or acts evil, he is automatically pulled toward Satan. However, being essentially an image of God, man can never be eternally drowned in the hades of evil.

Eternal Hades Is Impossible for Man

No matter how persistently sinful man is, he can never suffer eternal punishment. Evil promises happiness and results only in unhappiness. As soon as man realizes this, then he begins to wish for emancipation and for God. This wish for goodness and freedom serves as a portal through which God is again invited to come into the life of the prodigal son and lead him to the abode of freedom. Even fathomless evil cannot destroy man’s soul, for he is essentially immortal and eternally good.

Yogananda seems to imply that it is not possible to be create an irreversibly contract with evil, that it is in fact possible to turn to God. This is what inspires me to post this here. Here is a link to an age old discussion about evil from a couple years ago:,91.0.html

Rad, would you mind offering any clarification of this matter? Thank you,
God bless.

p.s. as always, this post is timely as Lucifer enters Scorpio!

Hi Ari,
I can only reiterate what JWG and many others have said about this which is once a Soul has made an actual contract with evil it can not be broken for the reasons he and others have said. You may not be aware of the fact that even in the life of Yogananda he did not even 'believe' in the existence evil, Lucifer, when he was young man. At that point he thought or believed that evil was just a philosophical belief rather than an actual fact. All Souls on this Earth are not perfect, including his. All Souls are continuously learning and evolving even at the most advanced levels of evolution from the point of view of a consciousness/ Soul on this Earth. Yogananda evolved and had to learn about the fact of evil even at his level of evolution. The later stages of his life are a testimony to this fact. Thus, he states what he states. You are certainly free to decide whatever you need to decide about this.

God Bless, Rad

Thank you Rad - I really hear you. My own journey will in time naturally lead me to the truth.

Nothing to do with Ari's question, but with Lucifer.  I was just reading the new Pluto in Capricorn thread and thinking about all of the stuff in the news related to sexual crimes and scandals.  The Penn State football coach, Herman Cain, a piece on the news today about a guy secretely taping children bathing and posting the videos on kiddie porn sites etc.  After Pluto in Capricorn I started reading this thread and Ari said:
