The individual whose chart this is is currently in the ICU due to a near-complete lack of sodium in the body which has caused a massive increase of fluid that is causing the potential of total kidney and/or liver failure as well as brain damage (too much water on brain).
My questions are: Am I seeing correctly in this chart that this is reflected by Jupiter/Moon/Venus conjunction in Sag/1st (Jupiter/Sag=excess; Moon=fluid; Venus=kidneys; 1st=head). This conjunction was stimulated by the November/December eclipses. In EA are eclipses understood to have effects until the following eclipse season? If so, what would be the evolutionary reasons for this effect from an eclipse? I realize this will be specific according to the overall karmic history and intentions in the chart, but I am wondering what the general EA principle would be relative to the effect of eclipses in the birthchart. It seems like a lunar eclipse, with the opposition involved would be about "throwing off" dynamics associated to planets conjunct the transiting moon, is this correct?
I also have a question about sodium, which archetype correlates to this mineral?

Hi Jason,
First, sodium correlates to Saturn, Capricorn, and the 10th house because it's essence is a metal. Yet it's physiological action in the body is one on an electrolyte. Any electrolyte correlates to Uranus, Aquarius, and the 11th house.
As you can see with your friends chart he has Saturn square his Nodes. This Saturn is also conjunct his Mars and Pluto, and these three are forming squares to his Nodal Axis. Thus, these symbols correlate to a variety of key minerals, including sodium, at not being at the correct levels throughout his life due to emotional causes or reasons. At the same time this signature correlates to an underlying genetic liability for this condition: all the Scorpio in the 12th which is being squared by the Pluto,Mars, and Saturn.
The current transit of Mars in Virgo in his 10th, and squaring his natal Uranus, is happening at the same time that transiting Pluto is squaring his natal Neptune in the 11th. The brain correlates to the 11th, Aquarius, and Uranus. Neptune correlates to water of course, and in Libra to the kidneys. The specific physiological action of 'pressure' due to the fluid build is of course Pluto. These symbols would correlate to me to the specific timing of this situation. At the same time his natal Moon is conjunct his S.Node of Uranus which or course is essentially the current transit of the N.Node.
JWG never really taught much about eclipses at they are linked to EA. The general thought behind eclipses is as you said: to emphasize the area, archetypes, of the house, and the planets in the house, that it takes place in for about six months. Since the last eclipse took place in Sagittarius it would seem that the emotional causes were then put in place that were then ignited or triggered by the above transits.
