Has anyone regressed these farther back or can tell me how to do it? I am working on regressing the yugas to compare to the long Goddess lunation cycle proposed by Demetra George in her Mysteries of the Dark Moon. I have got notes on all that regression work if anyone wants to see them.

I just cannot figure out how to regress the chart we have for ages and sub ages. I got the yugas to about 100,000 BCE.

Thank you . . . Sylvia

Goddess Lunation Cycle as outlined by Demetra George in her Mysteries of the Dark Moon . . .

Over 40,000 years, with lunation phases of 5,000 years each, the Goddess completes one evolutionary cycle leading to a New Phase at a spiral upward from the preceding balsamic / dark Moon phase. In the darkened phase, her seeming absence or death is part of the seeding the new cycle, part of her mystery of renewal and regeneration as the old cycle fertilizes, composts, the next.

Demetra suggests that it was 3,000 BCE when the Goddess entered her most recent dark moon phase and 2,000 Common Era when she emerged again to begin anew. The previous New Phase was 38,000 BCE following a dark moon cycle from 43,000 to 38,000 BCE. She correlates the most recent Lunation cycle with events on the Earth.

Waxing Moon - Creating and Nourishing

New Moon     38,000 to 33,000 BCE, commencing with Upper Paleolithic (38,000 BCE and extending into its Lower Perigordian sub-stage 35,000 to 28,000 BCE).

Crescent Moon          33,000 BCE to 28,000 coinciding with Lower Perigordian and moving to the Aurignacion sub-stage (28,000 to 21,000 BCE).

First Quarter Moon begins with Aurignacion at 28,000 and extends to 23,000 BCE.

Gibbous Moon           23,000 to 18,000 BCE, including the Upper Perigordian sub-stage (21,000 to 18,000 BCE).

Full Moon Phase - Nourishing and Sustaining

Full Moon      18,000 to 13,000 BCE includes the Solutrean sub-stage from 18,000 to 14,000 BCE and the beginning of the Magdalenian sub-stage that extends from 14,000 to 10,000 BCE. With the ending of the Magdaleian sub-stage, the Upper Paleolithic transitions into the Mesolithic period (10,000 to 8,000 BCE).

Waning Moon - Harvesting and Regenerating

Disseminating (Waning Gibbous)       13,000 to 8,000 BCE includes the Magdalenian and opens the Mesolithic period (10,000 to 8,000 BCE). With the ending of the Mesolithic, the Neolithic period begins (8,000 to 4,000 BCE).

Last Quarter Moon- the time of harvest and storage of lunar energies, the Neolithic revolution in which people began to store agricultural surpluses and populations grew with villages becoming towns, then cities then city states. This phase is from 8,000 BCE to 3,000 BCE. The Neolithic period ended at 4,000 BCE leaving a gap of 1,500 years until the onset of the Bronze Age at 2,500 BCE. Demetra sees the Goddess vanishing by 3,000 BCE.

Balsamic or Dark Moon Phase

3,000 BCE to 2,000 CE include the Copper, Bronze and Iron Ages, 3,000, 2,500, and 1,000 BCE with advancing technologies in weaponry and warfare as well as "˜dominator' social orders. In this period, many of the cherished teachings of the Goddess were co-opted and distorted into hierarchical solar male-dominant religions.

So far as I know, Demetra is the first person to suggest that the disappearance of the Goddess may have been electional, happening by her choice, as a natural part of the waning part of her cycle. We can be very glad she has returned from that dark moon phase. It has taken up all of recorded history!!! The many imbalances and harms done need healing.

A preceding Goddess Lunation Cycle would have run from 78,000 to 38,000 BCE with her dark moon phase extending from 43,000 to 38,000 BCE.

The cycle before that would begin at 118,000 BCE and end at 78,000 BCE, with its dark moon phase from 123,000 to 118,000 BCE.

The cycle even earlier from 158,000 to 118,000 BCE was preceded by a dark moon phase from 163,000 to 158,000 BCE.

o dear I thought I had posted the regressed Ages . . . I think I figured it out . . . I will try again . . . this is without the generational sub-stages so far . . . I was very interested in comparing to 38,000 BCE where Demetra said was the New Phase in the Lunation Cycle of the Great Goddess . . . so here are the regressed ages in case I am not the only one into it ... then I will send the regressed yugas and yugasandhis and then I'll be done.

Yugas and Yugasandhis

From Sri Yukteswarji's "The Holy Science" where he explains how misunderstandings crept into the Hindu almanac. He bases corrections upon equinoctial points and the rule given by Manu. The errors occurred in darkened times. Sandhis are transitional periods of accelerated change and mutation before and after each yuga. Sandhis are counted in the total years given for each yuga.

Yugas are based upon each 24,000-year orbit of our Sun around its dual (causing the backward motion of the equinoctial points around the zodiac). As it moves, it approaches and departs another point called Vishnunabhi, the grand center, seat of Brahma, universal magnetism. This grand center regulates dharma, the mental virtue of the internal world.

When the Sun comes nearest the grand center (when Autumn Equinox comes to Aries), dharma has so developed that mankind easily comprehends everything even the mysteries of Spirit. At the farthest point (Autumn Equinox comes to Libra), mankind comprehends nothing beyond the material experience. Each half of the cycle takes 12,000 years, ascending and descending. Each period brings a complete change in the material world and internally in our intellectual or electric world.

Each 12,000 period makes one Daiva Yuga. Each 24,000 period is one electric cycle and the Daiva Yugas are one electric couple. Dharma develops and dissipates gradually in four stages through each 12,000 year period.

Kali Yuga is the first stage of dharma, properly 1,000 years plus two 100-year transitional periods, yugasandhis, on either side. Human intellect comprehends the material world; dharma is one-fourth developed. Total is 1,200 years.

Dwapara Yuga is the second stage of dharma, in which development becomes half complete. Properly 2000 years with yugasandhis of 200 years each. Humans come to understand electricities and their attributes, the creating principles of the external world. Total is 2,400 years.

Treta Yuga is the third stage of dharma, 3,000 years with yugasandhis of 300 years each. Human intellect comes to comprehend divine magnetism, the source of electrical forces. Total is 3,600 years.

Satya Yuga, 4,000 years with yugasandhis of 400 years each. Dharma comes to full development. The human intellect can comprehend all, even God the Spirit, beyond the visible world. Total 4,800 years.

In Manu's commentary, four thousand years is Krita Yuga (Satya Yuga), the Golden Age of the World. Its morning twilight and evening dusk have as many hundreds as the age has thousands. In the other three ages, the thousands and hundred decrease by one. The fourfold cycle comprising 12,000 years is called an Age of the Gods. One thousand make one day of Brahma and its night is the same length.

There are masters of wisdom and God union who are not subject to the loss of comprehension of the lower yugas. They provide light in darkest times. Of course, transitions and dates are inexact.  Additionally, we cannot know the Earth's, the Gaia's willingness to continue in her form. Whether she can tolerate the abuses of our overpopulation remains to be seen. Whether our forms can endure remains to be seen. The evidence suggests that we will evolve.

At 11,501 BCE, the Autumnal Equinox was on the first point of Aries. The Sun was nearest the grand center and then began its descending arc moving away from the grand center. The intellectual powers of humankind began to diminish. Just before the change, humankind experienced the ascending Satya Yuga from 16,301 to 11,501 BCE, the Golden Age upon Earth and the source of so many wisdom understandings that barely survived the periods of descent.

The golden age correlates roughly to the Magdalenian Age within the Upper Paleolithic that is considered a golden age in terms of spirituality of artifacts.

Rounding leaves the chart of yugas as follows:

Ascending Satya Yuga     16,300 BCE to 11,500 BCE
Descending Satya Yuga   11,500 BCE to 6,700 BCE
Descending Treta Yuga     6,700 BCE to 3,100 BCE
Descending Dwapara Yuga      3,100 BCE to   700 BCE
Descending Kali Yuga          700 BCE to 500 AD
Ascending Kali Yuga          500 AD to  1,700 AD
Ascending Dwapara Yuga     1,700 AD to 4,100 AD
Ascending Treta Yuga     4,100 AD to  7,700 AD
Ascending Satya Yuga    7,700 AD to 12,500 AD
Descending Satya Yuga   12,500 AD to 17,300 AD

By regressing the Yugas back to 100,000 BCE, I can compare them with another cycle proposed by Demetra George in her Mysteries of the Dark Moon. By intuition with observation and extrapolation, she hypothesized a Goddess lunation cycle taking 40,000 years. She suggests that the Great Goddess, the sacred feminine, vanished (electively!!!) from prominence and entered her dark moon phase in 3,000 BCE. She then emerged in her new phase in 2,000 CE. By finding this 5,000-year-long dark moon phase, Demetra George extrapolated a full cycle of 40,000 years, going back to 38,000 BCE and tracing the lunation cycle of the Goddess through its phases in "pre-patriarchal" times. I will also regress that long lunation cycle two or three more times to compare its stages with the yugas. Then I would regress our zodiac cycle of Ages and Sub Ages and look at comparisons. (But I cannot figure out how to do that).

Other correlations can be made to events within recorded history and before, including the Mahabharata account of Kurukshetra, the flood of Krishna's city, and the end of the Kshattriyan era (the Hindu long calendar has four ages or varnas that correspond to the later imposed four caste systems) in India. Comparisons can be made to some geological events, some archaeological discoveries with periods of high artistry, high technology, greater aggression and warfare or greater peacefulness and understanding, times of cataclysmic changes and times of cultural stability.

We have artifacts including beads as far back as 100,000 BCE. Another study of ages has been made by P.R. Sarkar, Anandamurti, seeing cycles of social history on Earth and within various cultures. He correlates his cycles to the varnas even though he does not respect the caste system as applied to social hierarchy. He sees the varnas as a natural evolutionary sequence in cultures or civilizations.

While the Yugas must be regressed beginning with the periods listed above, I am listing them as beginning with 100,000 BCE and working forward in time. They should correlate with the appropriate equinoctial points though I do not know how to make that comparison. The regressed table follows:

Descending Dwapara Yuga   99,100 to 96,700 BCE
Descending Kali Yuga   96,700 to 95,500
Ascending Kali Yuga   95,500 to 94,300
Ascending Dwapara Yuga   94,300 to 91,900
Ascending Treta Yuga   91,900 to 88,300
Ascending Satya Yuga   88,300 to 83,500
Descending Satya Yuga   83,500 to 78,700
Descending Treta Yuga   78,700 to 75,100
Descending Dwapara Yuga   75,100 to 72,700
Descending Kali Yuga   72,700 to 71,500
Ascending Kali Yuga   71,500 to 70,300
Ascending Dwapara Yuga   70,300 to 67,900
Ascending Treta Yuga   67,900 to 64,300
Ascending Satya Yuga   64,300 to 59,500

The cycle set forth by Demetra George sees the Goddess Lunation Cycle beginning in 38,000 BCE, with eight phases of 5,000 years each. She correlates that cycle to various substages of the Upper Paleolithic and shows where the Neolithic fit, then the metal ages.

She sees 3,000 BCE as the point of disappearance of the Goddess into her dark moon phase. She bases this on the changes in cultural mythology that pretty much erased the Great Mother and replaced Her.

By going back to the earlier cycle, a new phase in the Goddess lunation would begin around 78,000 BCE and the prior dark moon phase would be from 43,000 to 38,000 BCE.

An earlier dark moon phase would be from 83,000 to 78,000 BCE. And that cycle would have started around 118,000 BCE leaving the earlier dark moon phase at 123,000 to 118,000 BCE.
