Hi Rad and Group,

I will not be able to finish a post on this tonight, but I should be able to get at least something posted tomorrow, if you can wait that long.

Thank you,
Gray

Hi Gray,

It sure can ........

God Bless, Rad

Gray

Hello again Rad and group,

In Evolutionary Astrology, the significance of Mars as being a lower octave of Pluto is profound, as Mars is therefore considered to be the leading edge of the Soul's evolutionary development. As Rad described, the Mars archetype in EA correlates to a need for an impulsive freedom to act upon Soul desires without a lot of forethought, in order to gain knowledge of how others react to this action initiated from desire.  More specifically, Mars can also correlate to the sexual desires of the Soul on its evolutionary journey, and in combination with Venus and Pluto, further connects to how one projects sexual needs and expectations onto others, and how others then project their own sexual needs and expectations back to the individual.  As we have discussed, Darwin has a Soul history of searching for and researching ultimate meaning and knowledge (Pisces Pluto in 3rd House balsamic conjunct Mercury and Ceres) with a sense of an entitled special destiny in pursuit of this knowledge (South Node of the Moon in Taurus in 5th; ruled by Aries Venus conjunct Aries Vesta conjunct IC; Aquarius Chiron in 2nd square the lunar nodes) and with a soul purpose to throw off and liberate consensus belief from conditioned thoughts and beliefs associated with religious dogma and other sources of societal conditioning that are not in alignment with the actual truth of reality (Aquarius Sun in 2nd House in trine to Libra Mars; Capricorn Moon in 2nd in square to Libra Mars; Sagitarius Saturn-Neptune in 12th in square to Pisces Pluto in 3rd;  Pisces Jupiter in third).

Darwin's Libra Mars in his 10th House is close to a disseminating sesquiquadrate to his Pisces Pluto, but still in the full phase.  Isolating the Libra and 10th House aspects of his Mars, part of his Soul's intention to have this Mars placement was to have the ability to establish a wide variety of relationships that would help him further develop and then disseminate his intellectual theories and knowledge, as well as having the authority to take on a major public role in authorship and expression of these ideas, to such a high level that his very identity would become associated eternally with his Pisces third house mental explorations and discoveries.  In addition, his Mars in Libra would initiate relationships with a wide variety of people possessing a wide variety of beliefs and values, meaning he would receive a lot of feedback relative to his development of meaning associated with his Pisces Pluto through the reaction he would receive from his relationships to his thoughts, conversations, and behavior.  Darwin's Libra Mars being in his 10th House also means it is a highly conditioned Mars, and so part of his intention through creating his Libra relationships would be to help him break out of this past conditioning, through making him more aware of his deep-rooted emotional issues connected with his past societal conditioning (Libra Mars square Capricorn Moon in 2nd that is conjunct a stellium of South Nodes of plantets).  A further intention of him having a Libra Mars in the 10th would therefore be the fact that it is so conditioned, and so at the same time he would have a natural instinct for the rules and regulations of consensus reality, and possess the ability to move within the hierarchical structures of growing up inside the World Empire of the United Kingdom in the 19th Century.  This connects to the full sesquiquadrate aspect between his Libra Mars (10th) initiation of Pisces Pluto (3rd) desires through the necessity of Darwin understanding the rules, laws, and traditions of the dominant culture of his birth so that he would be able to carry out his sense of a special destiny to transform consensus beliefs operating within this same culture.

In connection to the evolutionary journey of his Soul, Darwin's major "skipped step" is his Aquarius Chiron in his 2nd House squaring his nodes.  This connects to the brilliant and unorthodox mind of this Soul in past incarnations who could develop liberating and radical thought throwing off limitations of consensus thought and reality.  In line with a Chiron in Aquarius, however, this brilliant mental ability could have led him to become ungrounded and a Soul issue of being able to survive and prosper on a material level through this mental ability (2nd House skipped step) or perhaps more accurately that the value system his radical intellectual ability would have been rooted in, would not have been supported in a material fashion by the powers-that-be, the status quo in control of material resources in the society his Soul incarnated into.  In his Soul's previous incarnation as William Dampier, the fact he was essentially a free-ranging pirate who was at the same time developing intellectual theories and research relevant to the natural environment he was navigating through in his journeys, goes along with this evolutionary Soul wound in the sense that by existing in an isolated context on the high seas, his Soul would have resisted the confines of consensus reality found in a more grounded community-oriented existence.

However, in the incarnation of Charles Darwin, his Soul now has the intention to take this radical mental ability and integrate it into not only a status quo societal context of the dominant culture (the United Kingdom of the 19th Century) but also through a personal establishment of a family dynamic to live from (as we have discussed, symbolized in part by the ruler of his South Node, a Venus Aries, being at the end of his 3rd house and on the edge of his 4th House cusp). In contrast to his past life identity of Dampier, who was very willful and assertive in actualizing his own evolutionary intentions, in the lifetime as Darwin this Soul intended to modify and align it's strong sense of purpose with the structures of the social environment (Mars in 10th) in part through the formation of important relationships to facilitate this integration (Mars in Libra).  In addition, Darwin's Libra Mars in the 10th signified that he would have the intention to form relationships with a diverse group of people through not only his world travels as he did in his incarnation as Dampier, but also through his daily life and interactions as part of society.  As a result he would be able to gain a better sense of how to fit his brilliant mental theories into a form that could be understood by a wide variety of people in society through the reactions he would receive through his relationships.  If particular thoughts of his would generate a discordant response, for example, he would have the opportunity to reformulate how to communicate the idea in a manner that may generate a response indicating a greater level of comprehension in the future. Or if someone had an argument with something he said, he would have the opportunity to re-conceptualize and possibly expand his original thought to take in a broader perspective.

Chiron being a skipped step brings in some interesting aspects of the Chiron archetype.  In myth, Chiron is from a region of Greece associated more with the indigenous people of the region, and as centaurs and Sagitarius can be associated with direct experience and knowledge of Natural Law, so can Chiron in a profound manner.  Chiron was an intellectual giant in the sense of an intellect deeply rooted in Nature and Source, as opposed to a disconnected and overly rational intellect that Charles Darwin would have been associated with in the England of the 19th Century.  Chiron knew the connection between the patterns in the stars above and the plants growing underneath his feet that held medicinal properties, and the divine origins and interconnection of all aspects of the material realm.  The Soul of Darwin holds this ulitmate knowledge of ultimate meaning somewhere deep inside (Pisces Pluto in balsamic conjunction to Pisces Ceres and Mercury), but through lifetimes of becoming involved with organized religion and repercussions of organized religious dogma (Sagitarius Saturn and Neptune in 12th in last quarter square to Pisces Pluto) the Soul of Darwin had at some point become disconnected from this more wholistic perspective on Nature and Source that is associated with Chiron.  In the previous incarnation of William Dampier, his Soul took to the high seas in a manner that led him into contact with many aspects of Nature that his Soul was able to analyze with the rational intellectual perspective it had developed.  In the lifetime of Darwin, he had the evolutionary opportunity to work to further resolve the split between the actual truth of ultimate meaning versus the consensus-held beliefs about ultimate meaning that were not in alignment with ultimate meaning and so would result in Souls like Darwin's having experienced profound disillusionment in their past and present incarnations.  In order to liberate consensus beliefs from religious dogma, Darwin in his incarnation had a focus that was more rooted in expression through a scientific method than a spiritual method.  His powerful third house (Pisces Pluto, Mercury, Ceres, and Jupiter plus his Aries Venus that rules his South Node of the Moon) was therefore focused upon academic and scientific research and argument in order to liberate consensus belief from oppressive aspects of religious dogma. His 10th House Libra Mars acted from a heavily conditioned background, therefore, in part to help liberate himself in the end from this same conditioning.

Thus, although a Libra Mars in 10th acting from a Pisces Pluto in 3rd and in trine to an Aquarius Sun in the 2nd would have the ultimate intention of breaking free from conditioning, at the same time his every impulse in the moment would have felt the weight of past conditioning, similar to his Capricorn Moon in the 2nd that is in a crescent square to his Libra Mars.  His sexual nature as a result would also be deeply conditioned, as well as all other aspects of his expression of Soul desire.  However, through enacting this Soul desire into the world and initiating reactions from others, the crescent square to his Capricorn Moon would have ultimately helped him in the objectification and liberation brought on an evolutionary level from the trine between his Aquarius Sun in the 2nd back to this same Libra Mars.  Furthermore, the ancient conditioning that is so deep it had become completely unconscious (to such an extent as manifesting as various illnesses that Darwin constantly sufferred from) can be seen in that his Libra Mars is in a tight square to the South Nodes of his Saturn, Venus, Vesta, and Mercury, and that his Capricorn Moon is also conjunct the South Nodes of his Jupiter and Pluto.  His Capricorn Moon and South Nodes of Jupiter, Pluto, Saturn, Venus, Vesta, and Mercury are all ruled in his natal chart by his Sagitarius Saturn conjunct Neptune in his 12th that is square to his Pisces Pluto.  Therefore, the very same religious and cultural dogma his Soul feels the intellectual destiny to overturn is the very same dogma that has heavily conditioned and oppressed his Soul in past incarnations.  Another sign of this being a "crisis in consciousness" for this Soul on an evolutionary level is that the North Nodes of his Saturn and Pluto are also in a square to his Libra Mars from the sign of Cancer on the cusp of this 7th and 8th Houses, nodes that are also ruled by his Capricorn Moon that is in square to his Mars.

As a result, Darwin's Libra Mars in his 10th House was an important aspect of this evolutionary intent to help objectify and throw off some of the conditioned beliefs involved in widespread conditioning of his time (Libra Mars in trine to Aquarius Sun in 2nd) as well as the history of thought, belief, and philosophy that led to the current reality of consensus belief he found himself inside of in the 19th Century in England.  His Libra Mars is an important initiator with regards to the evolutionary journey of his Soul because it is ruled by his Aries Venus that is also the ruler of the South Node of his Moon in Taurus in his 5th House.  However, because again his Mars is in square to his Capricorn Moon and all those South Nodes (Pluto, Jupiter, Saturn, Venus, Vesta, Mercury) the re-adjustment of his Soul's desires to the rules and regulations of society (Mars in full sesquiquadrate to Pluto) could be especially humiliating and wounding to this Soul's deep intrinsic nature and instincts.  And yet, because his Soul carries such a burning sense of special destiny (Aries Venus conjunct Vesta conjunct IC) he would have pushed through nonetheless.  So, for example, although it took him some time to figure out how to form the specific relationships that would get him to where he wanted to ultimately go on a Soul level, in the end he did so. As I and others have written previously, this can be shown in how at first he formed relationships with people that would set him up in more of a religious role, but ultimately through financial resources of his biological father as well as the family he married into, and various other associations he formed, he was able to set himself up financially so that he could have the personal freedom to focus on his scientific research and writing.  The Aries Venus at the end of the third, in connection with the Pisces Pluto in the third, also connect to the idea that he would have formed relationships primarily with the purpose to help further his own intellectual work. I'm sure he would have gained some personal and emotional meaning from his relationships, but his attraction often would have been based upon more of a mental aspect and how the person would assist him in some way, either through agreement or debate, with his special sense of destiny in scientific theory.

Although Darwin's 10th house placement of Mars that also square his 2nd House Capricorn Moon indicates heavy conditioning and some difficult emotions surrounding how he initiated his special sense of Soul destiny, the disseminating trine between his Libra Mars and his Aquarius Sun in his 2nd House shows that he had the ability to take his understanding of how society operates and draw upon it in order to actualize his groundbreaking and radical Aquarian theories into the mainstream of academia and consensus reality without the same extreme level of persecution that his Soul would have experienced in past incarnations for expressing more radical viewpoints (Aquarius Chiron square nodes, with Scorpio Uranus conjunct the North Node of the Moon in the 11th).  He could also draw upon his past evolutionary development toward the 11th house concept of being one of many "stars" instead of his entitled sense of needing to be the star in control (5th House South Node ruled by Aries Venus), through forming alliances with other individuals doing groundbreaking work such as Alfred Wallace, instead of entering into open competition with them in a manner that would prevent them from receiving validation for their own work.  In the past, he could have been in more open conflict with people he would have viewed more as competitor's on his sense of special destiny instead of as potential collaborators (Scorpio Uranus conjunct North Node square Aquarius Chiron in 2nd).  Bringing in the archetype of Chiron again as his skipped step, it is interesting that in myth Chiron was a recluse who lived in a cave in part because of being an outcast not accepted by his parents, and that he transformed this status by fostering and nurturing many youth who had been abandoned by parents into individuals who could step into heroic status as adults.  Similarly, I feel that Darwin had past lives in which he identified with being a reclusive outcast, somewhat like Dampier for example, but that in his lifetime as Darwin he would have been operating at the higher evolutionary level of his Libra Mars in the 10th by supporting the work of other groundbreaking theorists like Wallace and helping to bring them into more prominence than they would have on their own.  And yet, there were still shades left of Darwin's past soul history of obsessional sense of destiny revealed at times like when he decided to finally rush to publish his work upon realizing that there were other people out there like Wallace working on similar ideas and theories.  Yet by deciding to work with other scientists who were developing theories that were similar in some aspects and different in other aspects to his own ideas, he was able in the end to expand his own vision and understanding than if he had dismissed the idea of collaborating with others from the outset.  With his Libra Mars ruled by his Aries Venus, however, in the end he was still more about working on his own concerning h is own ideas.

The archetypal theme of Darwin having a soul history connected in some way to the archetype of Chiron, centaurs, and Natural Law can also be seen in the South Node of his Mars being in Sagitarius (22'2'') conjunct the South Node of Uranus (15'45'') in his 1st House.  Since the South Node of his Mars and Uranus in Sagitarius is in square to his Pisces Jupiter in his third house, I feel the Soul history of his Mars is similar to the signature represented by his Sagitarius Saturn and Neptune being in square to his Pisces Pluto.  Darwin has a soul history of developing a strong belief system that could become dogmatic at times, or conditioned by the dogma of his culture, that in turn would lead him to experiencing extreme disillusionment upon discovering that the actual truth of his reality did not align with those beliefs, as well as the ultimate meaning of reality that his conditioned beliefs had led him to feel he had gained a sense of.  As a result, in his incarnation as Darwin, his natal Mars being in Libra in the 10th was drawn from his Pisces Pluto third house purpose of developing a scientific method of process that he could feel more secure regarding because of the fact that it was supposed to lead toward greater objectivity through following the guidelines of the scientific method.

In contrast, the North Node of his Mars is in Aries in his 4th House conjunct his IC and his Aries Venus and Vesta.  This again connects to the idea of Darwin having an evolutionary purpose to create a family in this lifetime, an evolution from past life identities like as Dampier in which his Soul avoided a family dynamic.  In addition, the North Node of Mars being connected to his Aries Venus and Vesta, a Venus that also rules his South Node of the Moon, further intensifies the burning sense of special destiny he would feel in acting upon his Pisces Pluto (3rd house) soul desires connected to developing scientific theories in greater alignment with ultimate understanding than currently existed.  Again, the role of conditioning is very important here, as his North Node of Mars is also in square to his Capricorn Moon and his stellium of South Nodes of planets, particularly his South Nodes of Jupiter and Pluto.  This again brings up the example of how he was sick so often, a sign of how much his being was triggered on a deep unconscious level by stressful aspects of pursuing his evolutionary purpose in science.

Sexually, as Rad has already described, his Aries Venus as the ruler of his Libra Mars would lend itself to him having a sexuality that was very much about him meeting his own needs, including masturbation as a primary outlet.  This outlet would also connect with the heavily conditioned nature of his Mars, and how he probably had sexual desires that would not be acceptable to his "conditioned self," and so he would have a more "secret self" possessing sexual desires he could express through masturbation and an active sexual fantasy life.  With his strong planetary energy in his second house as well as south nodes of planets there, he also would have a strong association with sex as being about procreation and producing children.

The fact that he ended up marrying and having children with his cousin is another re-live aspect of his Mars, as having a Mars in the 10th with a north node of Mars in 4th, plus Mars ruler Aries Venus at the end of the third conjunct the 4th House, all together could indicate a soul history of having been romantically involved with brothers, sisters, cousins, basically romantic partners from the same biological family background.  Since Darwin also has a Scorpio Uranus conjunct his North Node of the Moon, this could also be part of his evolutionary soul history with taboo aspects of society and conditioning.  In his life as Darwin, at one point he questioned his decision to marry his cousin from the fearful perspective that it could have impacted the immune system of his children in a negative manner.  In any case, since his Mars is in square to his Capricorn Moon and south nodes of planets, there would have been a lot of conditioning he would have had to work through in order to access his sexuality, and by impulsively acting upon his sexual desire he would have triggered the conditioning dynamics of his soul history relevant to his incarnation as Darwin.

With regards to the sexual needs and magnetism of Darwin, how he would project his sexuality and how it would be projected back to him, I feel it would also connect to the aspects we have covered connected to his Aries Venus in which he would often form relationships for mental or intellectual reasons, and perhaps at times there was at least some sort of unconscious sexual undertone to some of these relationships.  He was passionate about his mental pursuits and so he would have formed relationships with people who would support the development of his mental work, and he would have projected this need on others.  With the Aquarius Sun trine to his Libra Mars, it would suggest an intention with his sexual dynamics with others would have been to help liberate him from past conditioning around sexuality, however, it also unclear to me from historical records just how much liberation around sexuality Darwin actually would have experienced.  It seems he may have been so wounded in past lifetimes that in his incarnation as Darwin he was very frigid with respect to his past conditioning.  With a Libra Mars in the 10th that is square to his Capricorn Moon in the 2nd, perhaps the main emotional and sexual projection Darwin made came from a very repressed place, and so he may have in turn magnetized a repressive emotional and sexual projection from others toward him.  As a result there could have been a lot of unconscious tension and stress, even pent up anger and frustration at times, occurring in his relationships due mostly to a repressed sexual and emotional aspect.  Since he had a Mars square Moon aspect, Darwin himself could have become very angry at times in relationship with others, and also could have in turn been on the receiving end of a lot of anger.

I feel there is much more that could be found related to Darwin's sexuality in connection with his Libra Mars than I am covering here, but this is all I have for now.

with gratitude,
Gray

Hi Gray,

First, thanks for taking the time to do this evolutionary analysis of why Darwin chose to have his Mars in Libra as well as it's interrelations with his South and North Nodes of his Mars.

Your EA analysis is simply brilliant, and to me, breathtaking. It demonstrates a depth and comprehensiveness that is the very essence of what Evolutionary Astrology is, and can be. I particularly enjoyed your deft interweaving the the archetype of Chiron within the overall analysis of Darwin's natal Mars in Libra in his 10th, with his S.Node of Mars being in Sagittarius conjunct the S.Node of Uranus in the 1st, and his N.Node of Mars in Aries in the 4th. And then deftly demonstrating the most recent past life for the Soul of Darwin, Dampier, to the current life of that Soul as Darwin in terms of how that life as Dampier set up the evolutionary progression and needs in the life as Darwin via the overall Mars signatures. Thus, the understanding of why the natal placement of Darwin's Mars in Libra was in fact the S.Node of Dampier's Moon, as well as his own natal Mars. This was just brilliant.

The evolutionary need and desire for a marriage relationship that Dampier did not have did manifest in Darwin as you rightly pointed out. And this is not only symbolized with the N.Node of Mars for Darwin being in his 4th, but also, that same N.Node manifests in Dampier's own 4th House.

Your analysis too of his sexual nature, and desires, was also quite accurate to the extent that you developed it. I have felt a resistance by all of those participating, those that are left, from a full development of this dimension of the Soul of Darwin. I think I will, within the next few days, present to our little group a more full analysis of this so that we can all learn from it: the full development of it. So if you, those that are left, would like me to do that please let me know.

Simply brilliant EA work Gray. All of your EA reasoning was extremely sound. This is how EA is meant to be done. You, as well as the others, are really helping all those who come to read this thread learn this fact.

Bravo !!

God Bless, Rad

Hi Rad, I would absolutely love that. Thank you.

Hi Rad,
Even though I did not contribute on the recent post on Mars, I have been following this stage of the planetary method and would also love to know what has been left out of Darwin's Mars placement, sexually speaking.
Thank you!

Gray

Thank you so much Rad,

I'm glad you appreciated my integration of Chiron- in my more personal astrology work I have been looking more deeply into the Chiron archetype and so it is fortuitous for me that this is also the skipped step of Darwin. It makes me happy that resonated for you.

I would very much like to hear your thoughts on how sexuality through EA can be seen in the chart of Darwin.  I do not feel like I have a strong grasp on sexuality through EA, and often go off writing I have seen in past posts on threads.  The main sense I got purely on my own from Darwin's chart would be the repressed and conditioned aspect of his sexuality and how that could play out in projection back and forth.

with gratitude and love,

Hi Rad,

I am very interested in anything you have to say about Darwin's chart/sexuality etc. Thank you.

Rad

Hi Ari, Kristin, Mirta, Gonzalo, Gray, and Upasika

Ok, so I will go ahead and discuss the core inner orientation of the Soul of Darwin to his sexuality. One of the core issues that needs to be understood involves the fact of his nervous system is supercharged because of the nature his philosophical mind as all of you have so incredibly demonstrated in your EA analysis's of Darwin to date.

Because of this this then creates highly excitable and highly sensitive sexual nerves due to deep inner emotional compression that when stimulated can cause quick ejaculation and/ or it can also lead to impotence because of detaching from this emotional inner compression: Uranus in Scorpio conjunct his N.Node in the 11th which then inconjuncts his Venus is Aries in the 3rd which of course is the ruler of his Mars in Libra in the 10th.

This is then restated with his S.Node of Mars conjunct his S.Node of Uranus in the 1st, a natural Aries house. These are ruled by his Jupiter in Pisces in the 3rd which of course square his Neptune/Saturn conjunction in the 12th. From a prior life point of view these symbols correlate with an adventurer who desired no sexual or emotional commitment to anyone, and who desires very quick and spontaneous sexual experiences with someone who in the immediacy of the moment. These 'someones' would individuals whom he did not previously know, typically women who from other cultures relative to the various traveling adventures that Darwin's Soul was defined by. And, because of this, certain sexual diseases would occur.

For him and his partner/wife this can of course lead to great emotional/psychological frustration and inner questioning within himself that essentially says "what is wrong with me": Mars in Libra in the 10th squaring his Capricorn Moon in the 2nd. This then leads to a deep sense of guilt within him  because of the very real feeling/ sense of not being able to fulfill the sexual/ emotional needs of his partner/ wife.

With that Mars in Libra in the 10th his partner/ wife would desire/ need long and sustained sexual intercourse, and Darwin would of course know that which only created more guilt within him, more of 'what is wrong with me' type questions: Venus in Aries in the 3rd inconjunting his Uranus in Scorpio in the 11th. With that Venus trining his Saturn/Neptune in Sagittarius in the 12th, the natural ruler of his Moon in Capricorn in the 2nd as well all those S.Nodes of the other planets there, his wife would be naturally forgiving even as she felt a great and personal sense of dissatisfaction sexually/ emotionally speaking.

This very same aspect pattern also then correlates to extremely unpredictable sexual cycles within him in which his sexual energy/ need is utterly absent. At other times is sexual desire/ need can be intensely immediate with all combinations of these extremes, Libra/Venus, that can cause to feel very confused, as well as his partner/ wife, about why this is.

As all of you have rightly pointed out the core of Darwin's inner orientation to his sexuality was on of essential masturbation as the primary form of sexual release. The Moon in the 2nd as well all those S.Nodes of all the planets in his 2nd, the Aquarius Sun trining his Mars in Libra in the 10th, the S.Node of the Moon itself being in Taurus in the 5th all correlate to this. With that S.Node in mind which is then ruled by his Venus in Aries in the 3rd, trining the Saturn/Neptune in the 12th, ruling the Mars in Libra in the 10th that then squares all those Capricorn planets, the trine to the Sun, these all correlate to a deep orientation to the symbol of the phallus as being all powerful to him, almost to the point of worshiping it. So of course, knowing this from an EA point of view, we can see just how deeply this orientation to masturbation was within the Soul of Darwin.

This orientation would also manifest within him as desiring/ needing his partner/ wife to ejaculate him with her hands: Venus in Aries in the 3rd linked with all the relevant aspects to other planets, the ruler of his Mars, or her mouth; Moon in Capricorn in his 2nd, Cancer on the 8th House cusp.

This orientation to oral forms of sexuality is further symbolized by his Venus being conjunct his Vesta in Aries in the 4th which is rooted in his emotional displacement involving his biological mother which then manifests as as strong attraction to a women's breasts as well: the displacement of nursing as an infant. Oral sex then becomes a vehicle of satisfying his partner/ wife due to being unable to gain an erection at times due to the dynamics that we are discussing: being unpredictably impotent, frigged, or ejaculating very quickly. This would lead to the sustained sex that his parnter/ wife would desire and need: Mars in Libra in the 10th, squaring his Moon, etc.

At the same time, however, the Soul of Darwin would have an aversion to kissing of any depth or duration, pecking the lips in the form of kissing being about as far as he could go. This dynamic is rooted in the inner dynamics of feeling violated because of the 'penetration' involved in deep kissing, the fear of loosing control, of not being in control, because of. It is also rooted in his fear of diseases that becomes displaced relative to having anthers tongue deep inside his mouth.

With his Mars in the 10th, Capricorn being the ruler of his 2nd House cusp, this would also manifest as his desire to be the dominant sexual partner, of being on 'top' during sexual intercourse. Yet, at the same time, deep within the Soul structure of Darwin stands his desire and need to 'loose control' because of his tightly woven psychology of need to be in control at all times in order to feel psychologically and emotionally safe. Thus, with Cancer on his 8th this need/ desire would translate into an unspoken desire for his parnter/ wife to be the one 'on top': thus to surrender. This need to surrender is also symbolized with Venus, the ruler of his S.Node, trining his Saturn/Neptune in the 12th as well as his Uranus in Scorpio conjunct his N.Node trining his very Soul structure: Pluto in Pisces in the 3rd. Yet it is also, again, inconjunct that same Venus which than restates the psychological/ emotional crisis of loosing control which is rooted in his fears of loss, abandonment, and violations of trust.

Thus, with that Uranus in Scorpio conjunct the N.Node in the 11th, trining the Pluto, we can see as a necessary evolutionary step to liberate from these fears, via sexuality, to allowing his partner/ wife to take control of their sexuality so she can then 'teach', Pluto conjunct his Jupiter, the ruler of his Saturn/Neptune in the 12th, with Juno in between this conjunction, deeper commitment, him in this way.

The liberation that his Soul desires also manifests as the need to understand the causes of his sexual guilt: Mars in the 10th. Beyond what we have already discussed this guilt would also manifest, by way of external conditioning, to the 'duty' of being sexual with his partner/wife. This sense of conditioned sex as a duty would manifest as sex being a 'perfunctory' act. When operating from this psychology this would then lead to anger, Mars in the 10th, which could then become displaced and thus manifesting at various targets, including his wife, that would then seem utterly irrational and bizarre: Uranus in the 11th in Scorpio, the S.Node of Mars conjunct the S.Node of Uranus in Sagittarius in the 1st House.

His sense of sexual guilt would also be rooted in the fact of his marrying someone of within his extended family: a cousin which is symbolized by his Venus in the 3rd inconjuncting his Uranus in Scorpio in the 11th, Venus being the ruler of his Mars in Libra in the 10th. Within this guilt is his inner judgement of  himself manifesting as creating immune system weaknesses within the resulting offspring of sexual intercourse with his cousin. In turn, this fear and inner judgement because a causative factor in his understanding as to why his daughter died so young.

His fear of sexual diseases, which is rooted in his Soul memories, S.Node of Mars conjunct the S.Node of Uranus in the 1st, ruled by his Jupiter in Pisces which then squares his Saturn/Neptune in the 12th, memories for other lifetimes, would then manifest via Mars in Libra in the 10th as a desire for not only personal cleanliness, but also for him and his partner/ wife to be sexually 'clean': thus the need for their bodies to be clean before any sexual event could take place between them.

And, lastly, sexual stimulation for him would also be linked with intellectual stimulation: Venus in the 3rd, ruler of his S.Node, which then is the ruler of his 10th House Mars, squaring his Moon in the 2nd. His partner/ wife was herself quite intellectual and philosophical which lead to great discussions between them. She was the first one that he entrusted to read his manuscript. In this types of discussions this would typically lead to sexual events between them.

If you have any questions about this please ask them of me. In a few days we will continue on in our next step in our planetary method: Jupiter.

God Bless, Rad

Hi Rad,

It's wonderful that you've done this, thank you. For one, I wasn't sure how detailed to be with sexuality on the MB. And two, you also made some very interesting corelations which I'd like to ask you more about - will do that in the next day or so when I have some time.

Hi Rad,

Here are my queries...

1. Quick ejaculation/impotence

Is this due to a Mars/Uranus connection?
(I understand the wider context of his mentally stimulated nerves/emotional compression etc)

Uranus in Scorpio inconjuncting Venus "¦ Uranus representing the highly charged (Scorpio/sexual) nerves. Does the inconjunct resemble a lack of control leading to an early (Mars) ejaculation  (via Venus ruling Mars)?

2. S.Node of Mars conjunct his S.Node of Uranus in the 1st, a natural Aries house (Mars/Uranus connection again)
"¦ ruled by his Jupiter in the 3rd
"¦ which squares his Neptune/Saturn in the 12th

Is it all of these elements that correlate with desiring no sexual or emotional commitment to anyone, or just some of them?

3. Is it the S.Node of Mars conjunct his S.Node of Uranus in the 1st that indicates the desiring very quick and spontaneous sexual experiences with someone in the immediacy of the moment?

4. Jupiter in Pisces in the 3rd squaring his Neptune in the 12th. Is it the "squaring his Neptune in the 12th" that would lead to sexual diseases?

5. Mars in Libra in the 10th reflection (10th) about his sex (Mars) and relating (Libra)
Squaring the Moon 2nd - would that be the difficulty pulling away from the tendency for (1st Qtr Sq) low self worth (square Moon in 2nd) resulting from that reflection?

6. Guilt then arising - would that be from the 10th house influence and Cap on the 2nd house cusp?

7. Venus in Aries in the 3rd inconjunting his Uranus in Scorpio in the 11th
The inconjnct giving rise to the self doubt? and the resulting crsis ...

8. Being masturbated by the partner's mouth (oral sex in other words) "¦. wasn't sure of the initial symbols for that...?
(although I did get this symbol for oral sex "¦. Venus being conjunct his Vesta in Aries in the 4th which is rooted in his emotional displacement involving his biological mother which then manifests as as strong attraction to a women's breasts as well: the displacement of nursing as an infant)

9. Uranus in Scorpio conjunct his N.Node trining his very Soul structure: Pluto in Pisces in the 3rd.
Is the reason this symbolizes his need to surrender due to the Scorpio/Pisces influence?

thanks Upasika

***********

This is not a lack of control issue. It is simply based on over excitement built up BEFORE the actual sexual event that then lead to this quick ejaculation. This excitement is manifesting in his mind: Uranus in Scorpio in the 11th that inconjuncts his Venus in Aries in the natural Gemini house. When this excitement occurs simultaneously this causes his sexual nerves to become overly sensitized so that when touch, Venus, then occurs to his sexual organs this serves as the trigger for the quick ejaculation. These highly sensitized  sexual nerves are also symbolized by the ruler of his Capricorn Moon in the 2nd which is squaring his 10th House Mars: the Saturn/Neptune conjunction in his 12th which trines his Venus.

********

*********

In his recent prior lives this correlates to anyone.

************

3. Is it the S.Node of Mars conjunct his S.Node of Uranus in the 1st that indicates the desiring very quick and spontaneous sexual experiences with someone in the immediacy of the moment?

**********

Yes, especially when we consider that this these S.Nodes square all his Pisces planets in the 3rd, and when we consider Uranus itself in Scorpio IN THE 11TH HOUSE INCONJUCTING HIS VENUS IN THE 3RD. Remember with that Uranus on the N.Node this has been in operation before the current life so given this inconjunction to his Venus, the ruler of his S.Node in Taurus in the 5th trining his Saturn/Neptune in the 12th, the nature of the moment, these in combination correlate to his desire for spontaneous sexual experiences with someone in the immediacy of the moment.

**********

4. Jupiter in Pisces in the 3rd squaring his Neptune in the 12th. Is it the "squaring his Neptune in the 12th" that would lead to sexual diseases?

*********

Yes, but also his Chiron in Aquarius in his 2nd, squaring the Nodes, and his Uranus in Scorpio This Chiron is also conjunct his S.Node of Neptune which then also square his Nodes. These then correlate to sub-conscious memories of actually having contracted sexual diseases before the current life that lead to his physical death.  Beyond these fears being general, they are also specific to common sexual diseases such as syphilis and gonorrhea.

**************

********

Yes, and remember that such reflection leads to inner judgement of himself in that same pattern.

************

6. Guilt then arising - would that be from the 10th house influence and Cap on the 2nd house cusp?

***********

Yes, and also the natural ruler of his Capricorn Moon being Saturn in Sagittarius with his Neptune that then square all his Pisces planets. This internalized dynamic, once in place, can then only aggravate this dynamics within him.

**************

7. Venus in Aries in the 3rd inconjunting his Uranus in Scorpio in the 11th
The inconjnct giving rise to the self doubt? and the resulting crsis ...

*************

Yes remembering that his Venus is rules his Mars so that the self doubt equaling crisis starts with his own inner judgement upon himself.

*********

Cancer on the 8th House cusp which is then ruled by his Moon in the 2nd

************

9. Uranus in Scorpio conjunct his N.Node trining his very Soul structure: Pluto in Pisces in the 3rd.
Is the reason this symbolizes his need to surrender due to the Scorpio/Pisces influence?

*********

Yes, but in combination with the ruler of his 2nd House Capricorn Moon being in the 12th house conjunct Neptune trining his Venus, ruler of the S.Node which inconjuncts that Uranus. Additionally, this is symbolized by Cancer on his 8th House cusp which then refers back to that Capricorn Moon.

That's excellent thankyou Rad ...

and I had completely missed (the obvious) Chiron conj SN Neptune in 2nd Aquarius square the lunar Nodes & Uranus in Scorpio ... showing death from past life sexual disease, and the memories (Uranus) of that in this lifetime - being especially prominent with the Uranus conjunct N.Node being his resolution node in this lifetime
