Applying the Pluto paradigm.  This lecture will focus on how to apply the Pluto paradigm using in-depth illustrations and case studies. It will also cover the core principles of Evolutionary Astrology that must be understood before interpreting a chart from an evolutionary point of view, such as the Soul, the ego, and the meaning of Pluto in the natal chart. The case studies that are used will demonstrate how to apply the “EA paradigm” which is founded on Pluto and its polarity point, and  the North and South Nodes and their planetary rulers. These symbols are the main evolutionary/karmic dynamic within the birth chart, which describes the core evolutionary lessons for the current life. This is why it is so important to understand. In addition case studies will be used to demonstrate how to apply the four natural evolutionary states within chart analysis.

Gonzalo will explore the meaning of Mercury in the birthchart from the perspective of Evolutionary Astrology, revealing the type of information the Soul needs, and the linear thought patterns and type of language the Soul has needed to create. He will also explore the evolutionary reasons why the Soul has needed this information, linear thought and language patterns, in order to evolve in any given life. The reasons are reflected in the natal position of Mercury, the South Node of Mercury, and the evolutionary axis of the birthchart.

Born in Chile in 1970, Gonzalo began studying astrology in 1994 and discovered Jeffrey Wolf Green Evolutionary Astrology in 1998. Has been learning and practicing this paradigm ever since. Has also learned and practiced other healing arts, such as acupuncture. He is now training in hypnotherapy and past life regression therapy. On a natal chart, the lunar nodes symbolize the interface between the past (what is known and familiar) and the future (what is yet unfolding, unknown). That interface happens in the present moment, as each soul has the choice to either remain in the safety of the past or embrace the evolutionary potential of the unknown. The transiting lunar nodes operate in a very similar way. The transiting south node symbolizes the past that is coming to a head in the present moment. It thus symbolizes the total past dynamics that condition the soul’s perception of its current reality. The transiting north node points to the potential future that is emerging for the soul. It symbolizes how evolution can proceed in the present moment. This in-depth lecture will explore the evolutionary meaning of these nodes and how they can be understood in a way to provide support for any soul who desires to cultivate greater self-awareness. We will learn about the function of the natal planetary rulers of the transiting nodes as well as the phasal relationship between the planetary rulers. We will also learn about the various life cycles that are symbolized by the transiting nodes, such as the nodal return, nodal square and nodal opposition. Throughout the lecture Ari Moshe will exemplify the teachings with various chart examples and case studies.

In the few years since the transit began, Pluto in Capricorn has wasted no time on the wrecking-ball clock. Through 2024, Pluto in Capricorn will continue to pave the foundation of our new reality. We are now at a critical intersection, that of the ending of a historical era and the transition of the Ages. While the eventfulness of our current reality is greatly accelerated, the process of reformulating the collective psyche is a slow and arduous one. From the evolutionary astrology perspective, this lecture will discuss how transiting Pluto through Capricorn will continue to reshape our personal and collective psyche and plant the seeds for the coming Age of the Matriarchy. Rose will also outline the planetary phasal relationships that mark the advancing hour of this Age’s closure.

Just as the Moon has a south and a north node, so does every Planet. This little-understood aspect of Astrology adds tremendous insight to the birth chart. With the south node as the past, the Planet as the present and the north node as the evolutionary intention or ‘future’, Jeffrey Green originated a simple and powerful method for studying the evolution of every Planet in the chart, not just the Moon. With the south node of Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn we see that fundamental issues with the nature of our civilization stem from the transition from a prior matriarchal society to a patriarchal form which, as Pluto transits Capricorn and eventually its own south node, sees us face a confrontation with our past and the direction we have taken as a civilization. The nodes of Uranus and Neptune add considerable insight to the collective situation, just as the nodes of the personal planets can show us hidden layers of meaning within the birth chart. Throughout the talk I will draw upon my work as an Evolutionary Astrologer and as a psychotherapist in private practice.

An understanding of Pluto is the foundation of Evolutionary Astrology, and the central episode in his mythic biography is the abduction of Ceres’ (Demeter) daughter Persephone into the underworld. This talk will explore the complex web of relationships that are constellated in Pluto/Ceres/Persephone chart interactions and the implications of the recent reclassification of these two bodies as dwarf planets, equal in status, in the solar system. In addition, Demetra will offer preliminary suggestions for research into the nodes of Ceres.

All humans feel a call to relationship. Relationship with self, relationship with others, relationship with something beyond human. Why is this, and what are we truly seeking through these relationships? Relationships are symbolized by Venus. EA views Venus as having two sides. Taurus, the inner side, is our relationship with self. Libra, the outer side, is our relationship with everything external. Venus is also the lower octave of Neptune, which is our relationship with Source, God, Creator. Steve will discuss these principles and what they reveal in a birth chart. They speak to our core sense of meaning and values, to that which keeps us moving forward. They reveal why we attract into our lives the kind of people we do, and what the actual lessons we are seeking to learn through them are. And ultimately they point us back to Self, and to our relationship with Source.
