Hi Rad,

Mars is Aries energy, instinctual, and is the carrier, the vehicle, by which the Soul (Pluto) transmits its intentions, desires, into human awareness at an instinctual sub-conscious level - primal urges.

In addition to Mars working closely with Pluto, could the WHOLE Mars nature, ie sign and planets within the 1st house, Aries in the chart, and aspects to Mars give additional information into the conscious desires of the Soul within the context of the Soul?  Or should one concentrate specifically on Mars itself?

Could additional Mars information be gleaned from cardinal signs and planets at early cardinal degrees, as well as conjunctions in the chart (or am I taking the interpretation of Mars too far)?

Thank you.

Linda

Yes, Mars, Aries, the 1st House, and the N.Node of Mars all correlate to how the desires that emanate from the Soul are instinctually acted out.

Or should one concentrate specifically on Mars itself?

****************

No.

No, it just doesn't work that way.

That's good to know.  The above list would also include the South Node of Mars.

Hi Linda,

"Yes, Mars, Aries, the 1st House, and the N.Node of Mars all correlate to how the desires that emanate from the Soul are instinctually acted out."

"The above list would also include the South Node of Mars"

I'm wondering whether omitting the South node of Mars was not an oversight ... would not the South node of Mars relate to how desires were acted out in the past, rather than how they will be acted out in the current lifetime?

That's a very good question Upasika, and I await Rad's reply with gratitude.

Hi Linda and Upasika,

Yes, of course, the S.Node of Mars. When I read what Linda wrote I must have interpreted it to mean the current life only.
