Hi Rad, and group
I'm now posting some thoughts about the Sun archetype in this birthchart.
Thank you Rad for holding this space for our continued learning, and thanks group for participating here.
God Bless,
Gonzalo
The Sun being in the 2nd House reflects the Soul’s purpose to create a life that is simple or basic, and relatively withdrawn from social interaction, in order to cultivate relationship with self, and to listen to self. With Aries on the 5th House cusp ruled by Mars in the 10th House (also, the 2nd House cusp is Capricorn), and Leo in the 9th House cusp, there is an intention to withdraw in order to become deeply reflective so that a discovery of truths in general, and truths concerning the natural world, can occur from within. The Soul needs to keep itself perpetually engaged in introspection for insights and perception of meaningful patterns can occur. Because the 2nd House Sun is Aquarius, there is a need to detach from prior associations of meaning, and truths to which the Soul adhered in the past because of the need for self-consistency which created limitations in the understanding of the natural world, and truth in general. The Sun being in the 2nd House Aquarius, semisextile Jupiter in the 3rd House, and semisquare Venus also in the 3rd House, there is a need to create intense introspection and reflection on the organization and associations of meaning of the past knowledge forms the individual has collected or realized, thus implying a need to restrict the intake of new forms of knowledge. Because the attachment and fixity of prior understanding, and limitations created thereof, have been quite intense (SN 5nd House Taurus), the individual needs to become more or less ‘crazy’ in order to give up the prior felt consistency (also the Sun/Saturn square occurring within the Last Quarter phase, ie. not fearing to make the fool under social parameters). The desires for withdrawal are also fueled by other reasons, mainly feelings of guilt, feelings of guilt, and traumatic confrontations with larger forces of social nature (Mars in the 10th House is Full phase inconjunct Jupiter in the 3rd House Pisces, ruled by Neptune/Saturn in the 12th House, Uranus Scorpio is conjunct the NN in the 11th House).
The individual is necessarily deconstructing prior beliefs and associations of meaning, inwardly fragmenting sets of beliefs and knowledge which have conditioned its subjectivity, which in the past the Soul felt to be so well formed and veritable. Thus, the individual has the intention or life purpose to fragment and reduce to dust that which was the very basis of its prior emotional security: intellectual certainty linked with systems of knowledge proving his own competency. Through a relative isolation and throwing-off of prior intellectual basis for security, the Soul has the purpose to become a friend to itself, ie. to be by self despite the own inadequacies and regardless of knowing or not knowing and same time, to be objective and honest about self without needing to create intellectual or philosophical compensations: to embrace the naked truth about self. This radical objectivity and honesty, combined with abiding by self and listening to self, allows for a progressive depth in relationship to self, and a progressive depth of understanding about what the needs have been to arrange its reality and understanding in the ways it has: the basis of the own subjectivity, values and needs, and the limitations these have created to an objective view. The Soul has needed to create a sense of purpose allowing to learn that its own nature is self-sustaining, and self-recreating, through the operation of autonomic inner forces which are not dependent on personal will or purposefulness. The Soul has a purpose to listen to self in order to reconnect with feelings and sensation. Through listening inwardly, the individual would be able to hear his own heart, then the sound of the electricity in the etheric body, and then the sound of the chakras in the astral body, which could progressively prove to him the deeper reality of Soul. The individual would desire to keep his children from whom separations have occurred close to his heart, and this desire could lead him to connect with them through the astral body (further, the Sun rules Lucifer’s SN in Leo in the 8th House, ie. the Souls of his children, and the Sun squares Saturn in the 12th House within the Last Quarter phase, and forms a Balsamic semisextile to the Moon in 2nd House, ie. parent/children relationship beyond time/space limitation). The purpose of inwardly listening to self would allow the individual to totally redefine himself, and his role, in connection with his Creator (Sun is Last Quarter quintile to the SN in the 5th House).
Because of the prior over-investment in sets of knowledge and beliefs, the need to deconstruct and fragment the existing associations of meaning would be experienced as an involution. After having experienced feeling wise or learned, the individual would need to become a fool. The Sun in the 2nd House would demand to ‘make real’ any knowledge form, to make it consistent with the own life, and to create personal associations of meaning for whatever idea. This process would create an intense restlessness and inner stress because the individual would feel to be standing on shifting sands. With the Sun being in Aquarius, the individual would have a chance to observe this process in an objective and detached way, ie. to witness the own process, instead of needing to control the process. The fragmentation of prior knowledge forms is necessary, because of the over-investment in these constructs and because the over-specialization of these bodies of knowledge. By reducing to dust these sets of ideas, the individual would be able to create bridges and migrations of essential ideas between areas of knowledge which were not connected in the past, while new 9th House patterns would become apparent serving to create new and original associations. For this to occur the individual would need the fragmentation to occur first, a state of inner anarchy not only of prior concepts, but also of the faculties of knowledge, ie. an essentially agalitarian use of sensation, thought, intuition, imagination, etc., versus a hierarchy in which thought is supposed to be the higher faculty (Aquarius Sun 2nd House, NN in the 11th House, conjunct Uranus and asteroid Chaos).
The individual would need to experience not knowing what he wants, and what he likes and dislikes, because the prior thought and language forms do not serve to describe what now is only being formed. He would have sudden insights about what is personally meaningful to him, but many times would need to remain silent because he would not be able to know if he still thinks what he used to think, or if he still likes what he used to like. He would need to become strange or even weird to himself, before progressively becoming familiar again, to the extent that he redefines and recreates himself from within. Fragmentation would be a condition for becoming (the Aquarius Sun being square Saturn 12th House Sagittarius within the Last Quarter phase, ie, liberation from prior constructions the individual valued as ultimate truths). He would desire to become imperceptible, to look like ‘anyone else’, or not be seen at all.
Sexually, he would need not to know what he likes, for a progressive disorganization and reorganization of his sexual desire nature. He would need to become a sexual ‘polymorphous perverse’, so to speak, thus to become sexually aroused by a multiplicity of microperceptions at a fragmentary or molecular level, in order to sexually feel through the whole body, and Soul, and not only through the phallus (the Sun is conjunct asteroids Aphrodite and Lust, both 2nd House Aquarius, and trine Pan in Gemini in the 7th House, forming a Grand Trine with Mars, Pan is conjunct the NN Vesta, Vesta being in Aries conjunct Venus in Aries, with Vesta in the 4th House, and Vesta/Venus are semisquare the 2nd House Sun; thus a need to detach and liberate from prior sexual organization of sensation for a new cycle of self discovery to occur; Lilith is in the 5thn House, in Taurus, square Chiron in the 2nd House Aquarius, and opposing Uranus in the 11th House Scorpio, ie. using sensation and pleasure for a disorganization of sexual subjectivity that in time will allow for a renewal and rebirth of the body of sensation, because sexual energy is being redistributed in order to perceive Soul/Spirit reality through sexuality: Scorpio NN, Mas novile to Neptune and New phase conjunct Magdalena, Eros Pisces New phase conjunct Pluto).
The 2nd House withdrawal and the Aquarius detachment from egocentric purposefulness, occurring through embracing sensation and feeling in order to root consciousness within the physical body, would allow for the 9th House Virgo Pluto polarity point intention to heal to manifest through surfacing and release of the stored energy of traumas. In connection with the pre-existing desires to heal, self and others, the Aquarius Sun square Saturn would imply the intention to heal at a vibrational level, and to understand the body at the level of energy, versus the body as an individual an independent system of organs, and from that level integrate other knowledge forms relating to healing. Thus, removing the patriarchal beliefs that conditioned and suppressed prior lives shamanistic orientation to healing.
He would need to feel the ideas, and to be able to feel nature. Thus, to be able to feel as an animal, to become that which he desires to understand, versus being a detached observer defined by abstract thought of a ‘human’ superior status. Thus, he would be able to observe and to feel the interconnections between beings, animals, plants, etc., occurring at many different levels. He would be able to observe, as I think he did, that species and individuals are one and the same thing, because there are only packs from the point of view of nature: how the individual contains the species in its own becoming, and that species are only a momentary stage within a pure becoming in which all types of migrations occur between different species [Gilles Deleuze/Felix Guattari explain this quite well: “But what exactly does that mean, the animal as band or pack? Does a band not imply a filiation, bringing us back to the reproduction of given characteristics? How can we conceive of a peopling, a propagation, a becoming that is without filiation or hereditary production? A multiplicity without the unity of an ancestor? It is quite simple; everybody knows it, but it is discussed only in secret. We oppose epidemic to filiation, contagion to heredity, peopling by contagion to sexual reproduction, sexual production. Bands, human or animal, proliferate by contagion, epidemics, battlefields, and catastrophes. Like hybrids, which are in themselves sterile, born of a sexual union that will not reproduce itself, but which begins over again every time, gaining that much more ground. Unnatural participations or nuptials are the true Nature spanning the kingdoms of nature. Propagation by epidemic, by contagion, has nothing to do with filiation by heredity, even if the two themes intermingle and require each other. The vampire does not filiate, it infects. The difference is that contagion, epidemic, involves terms that are entirely heterogeneous: for example, a human being, an animal, and a bacterium, a virus, a molecule, a microorganism. Or in the case of the truffle, a tree, a fly, and a pig. These combinations are neither genetic nor structural; they are interkingdoms, unnatural participations. That is the only way Nature operates—against itself.” – Deleuz/Guattari: 1730: Becoming-Intense, Becoming-Animal, Becoming-Imperceptible, in A Thousand Plateaus – Capitalism and Schizophrenia.] Also, that all species and variations and folds of an original biological substratum: “I believe that animals are descended from at most only four or five progenitors, and plants from an equal or lesser number. Analogy would lead me one step farther, namely, to the belief that all animals and plants are descended from some one prototype. But analogy may be a deceitful guide. Nevertheless all living things have much in common . . . so that all organisms start from a common origin (Darwin, the Origin of Species, quoted by Elizabeth Grosz: The Nick of Time, Politics, Evolution and the Untimely)”. The Aquarius 2nd House also reflects the purpose to understand the molecular threshold between non-life and life. Grosz continues “Darwin is extremely careful in Origin to provide arguments only for those claims for which he has amassed scientific evidence, but he does speculate in private correspondence to Hooker about this ‘moment’ of emergence of life from nonlife: ‘But if (and oh what a big if) we could conceive in some warm little pond with all sorts of ammonia and phosphoric salts, light, heat, electricity and etc., present, that a protein compound was chemically formed, ready to undergo still more complex changes’. Such realizations would then lead to an understanding of the collective intention to survive manifesting in all life forms within Nature as a whole, versus the idea of the survival of the fittest, and further, through the ongoing inner discovery of Soul reality, to understand life as a manifestation of a consciousness that in itself is non-dependent on life, and the natural sacredness of life he inwardly felt (NN Scorpio, Pluto Pisces, Sun Aquarius 2nd House). Thus, by introducing chaos in his own constructions, Darwin could have acknowledged the interconnectedness of evolutionary directions of the species, and the role of underlying final cause creating evolutionary directions (orthogenesis). Instead, at that point he chose to preserve prior constructions (originating on prior rebellions to earlier constructions), and to introduce chaos in evolution, in which the fittest survive. Had he fully embraced the purpose to revolutionize self, this would have created a redefinition of ideas at a political level, and would ignite desires to contribute to social change and ecology, through ideas demonstrating the inherent interconnectedness and interdependency of all life forms for survival. On the contrary, it seems Darwin was a theoretical influence on Nietszche’s ideas of the dice roll and the supermen, and I suppose the idea of the survival of the fittest is politically dangerous in hands of people who may want to consider themselves that way (same Mars 10th House being Libra, trine Sun Aquarius 2nd House).
